Jade and Dan's usual morning routine of cuddles in bed before someone eventually got up to get ready kept getting interrupted over the week due to Jade's continued rushes to the bathroom to expel her stomach contents into the toilet. Dan was growing in concern for her, Jade was sure that it was just a stomach bug, and only because Dan insisted that Jade stay home from work did she do so. It could be worse, she supposed, I'm literally just lounging on the couch while Dan does virtually everything for her, there were definitely worse things to be dealing with she thought, as Dan returned with the kitchen, hot water bottle and cup of tea in tow.

'Could definitely be worse,' Jade thought as she settled deeper on the couch under the duvet Dan had brought out from the bedroom.

"I think I'll need to grab some groceries this afternoon," Dan said, as he pulled Jade's feet into his lap. "You're sick, and you've still managed to eat everything in the flat," He chuckled as he massaged one of his girlfriends feet.

"I'll come with, if you want," Jade replied, tearing her gaze away from the TV.

"Nah, you rest," Dan smiled at her, "Lets sort out a list and I'll head out!" He reached for his phone and Jade immediately reeled off a number of food items she'd been craving for the last few days.

They worked out the finer details of their food plans over the next few days, and soon enough, Dan had a plain black cap on his head, and was tugging on his shoes. He kissed Jade goodbye and headed out.

Jade relaxed back into the couch, and set her now empty cup of tea on the coffee table. She'd just got comfortable again when's she sighed, desperately needing the loo. She headed to the tiny bathroom, only to realise the hand soap was empty when she went to wash her hands. She rooted through the little cabinet in the corner of the room, only to pull out a packet of sanitary pads. The packet was almost empty. She left it on the open shelves and replaced the hand soap and made a mental note to text Dan to bring back some more, she'd probably need some more soon. Though, she was sure she'd put them on her list the other day. She nestled back on the sofa, picking up her phone to double check her period tracker app. Her brow furrowed.

"Shit."

Jade had finally managed to convince Dan to let her go to work, even though it meant promising she would take some of the good anti-nausea medication. She did make a stop at the pharmacy, but not for anything kept behind the counter. Just for a small box she stuffed into her handbag as soon as she'd paid. She headed up the locker room, her foot tapped as the lift zipped her higher up the building. Before she made it to the locker room, she made a stop in the bathroom first, and then hurried off to the locker room, almost sending falling into Allegra as they walked into each other upon her entrance.

"Nice to see you too!" Allegra's smooth Irish accent rolled off her tongue as she caught Jade from falling.

"Hey," Jade said, as she opened her locker and tugged her jumper over her shoulder at the same time. "Do me a favour, call Amy from my phone?"

Allegra raised her eyebrows but obliged, rooting through Jade's handbag to find her phone.

"Why are you calling?" Amy, clearly still sleepy asked over the phone.

"I don't know, Jade said to call," Allegra replied shrugging. "Jade hurry up, I don't want to be late for rounds I have a surgery first thing."

"And I was sleeping," Amy chirped up.

Jade sighed and rooted through her bag for a small box in her hand bag. "Al, tell me the result, I can't look at it," She said thrusting it at the younger woman.
