It was September first and I was waiting on the platform with my parents when I spotted a familiar blond family coming through the crowds toward us. "Dray!" I yelled, dropping my bag and running over. I tackled him into a hug and he let out a soft oof. Then I moved on to Narcissa and Lucius, who I gave both short hugs.

"Did you enjoy your trip to Paris," I asked them.

"It was wonderful,"

"It was horrible," said Narcissa and Lucius at the same time.

I laughed and grabbed Draco, prepared to drag him over to the boarding platform. "Sounds lovely. Good bye Lucius, good bye Narcissa!"

Draco hopped up onto the train and then turned to help me up like a gentleman. Then we turned and headed down to the back end of the train. According to my brother Onyx, that was where all of the Slytherins sat.

We passed by compartments full of people wearing green lined robes until we found one that was empty and sat down. No sooner had we settled into the seat than the compartment door slid open and four boys walked in. A tall striking Italian boy with dark skin, a handsome brunette boy, and two boys built like mountains.

"Draco! There you are," exclaimed the Italian boy. He then turned to me and winked. "I'm Blaise Zabini. This is Theodore Nott, Vincent Crabbe, and Gregory Goyle."

"Atria Gaunt," I replied, shaking his hand, as well as Theodore's. Crabbe and Goyle merely gave a grunt hello and then sat down, quite rudely.

"Pleasure to meet you," said Theodore, sitting opposite me. "You wouldn't happen to-"

Theodore was interrupted by the opening of the compartment once again. This time two pretty girls stepped in.

"Daphne! Pansy!" I greeted them and motioned for the two to come sit by me. "Salazar's beard, I don't think I've seen you two since the ladies ball my mother threw in June."

"Yeah, it's good to see you again, Atria," said Daphne, blowing me an air kiss and opening her bag. She pulled out a stack of magazines and tossed one to me and Pansy. "I thought we could shop the new Crescent Collection that was just released," Daphne suggested.

"Ooh, I bought one of my school robes from that line," I commented, flipping to the beginning of the catalogue.

"Atria, toss me one of those," Blaise asked, gesturing to the magazines.

I grabbed one with a glossy cover and gently tossed it to him. "Here." Then I continued to flip through my own magazine.

"Ooh," Daphne exclaimed, showing me a pair of simple black heels. "For school?"

I nodded approval. "You should get them! But I'm getting these," I pointed to a similar pair with bows at the ankles.

"Yessssss, totally. That particular um- shade of black just really... matches your skin tone!" Said Theodore, looking over my shoulder and doing his best girl impression.

"Ugh," I said, whacking him with my paper. "I think I'm going to change into my robes now. Daph, Pans, do you want to come with me?"

"Sure," said Daphne, rolling up her magazine. Her and Pansy both stood up and followed me out the door, uniforms in hand. We strode past the compartments and each claimed a stall in the women's bathroom at the very end of the train. I was done changing a few minutes before my friends so I began touching up my makeup while I waited for Daphne and Pansy. Pansy emerged after about a minute and after what seemed like an eternity had passed, Daphne finally came out of the stall fidgeting with her skirt. "Do I look okay?" She asked nervously.
