On Repeat

A need for survival

But what to do when life gets dreary

Can something stop one from being so weary?

Do tell me when that question is answered

Everyone strides

Forward

Going to places, achieving dreams, and living happily

How about me?

I'm as groundless as a tumbleweed can be

Just going with the flow

Knowing that I'm not doing what I want

Likes are ignored, dislikes are hidden

Masks on, emotions locked

No one can differentiate the difference

Only me, alone, on this broken road

Puttering, pattering along to the whims of life

Queue up, do tasks, led around like a sheep

Restless under my skin, but hidden deep

Stray cat on the streets

Too relatable

Understandably, much freer....

Vexing, yeah?

When one is envious of a life of an animal, ugh

Xenacious, yet enervated

Yawning, tired---tired of everything

Zip up the bad, sleep, repeat...
