It was day two of the final round. It was another tiring day for them, but they couldn't let their guard down. The three walked in the hallway as they returned to their seats. When they arrived, they were surprised by their opponents. "Ready to lose?" Dalla smirked.
"We've got a deal. Did you forget?" Wynter was serious.
"Why would I forget? It is your umbrella, after all."
The three of them walked past her. As they sat down in their seats, Faith acted a bit weird. Wynter noticed her strange behavior and asked, "Is it about the plan?"
She looked at him and shook her head.
"Then what is it?"
"It's— it's about the deal.. What if we.."
Elliott sighed, "This isn't like yesterday. This is a rescue."
"Besides, we have you who can use a gun. What bad can happen?" Wynter smiled.
As the rest of the first battle of the final round began, Prof. Luxe didn't come to the VIP area; instead, he remained in his office to wait for somebody. When his office door opened, Dante came in without even knocking. Luxe turned to look behind and saw him standing about three meters apart. "I didn't expect a visit from you. Aren't you going to watch your son?" Luxe asked.
"Trellis is almost here," Dante answered. "Besides, I know Wynter and his team can do it."
Suddenly, Luxe's phone rang. When he pulled out his phone and saw who was calling, he answered it almost immediately and put it on speaker so Dante could hear it too. "I see, you're here."
Trellis: Well, you answered the phone almost immediately. I have a surprise for you! Maybe you want to come down from your office.
"Where are you?" Dante asked as he crossed his arms.
Trellis: Oh, No. 2 Guardian is here too. Great! I also have a surprise for him too!
While Dante facepalmed, Luxe laughed and said, "We'll see you at UCA Stadium."
Trellis: You want me to watch a bunch of kids?
"Who says you're watching?"
Trellis: A deal! I'll meet you there!
The call ended.
When Luxe turned to Dante, Dante stopped him from saying another word. "I'll stop you there, Luxe. There is no way I'll go with his surprise."
Luxe smiled, "Can't the children have a little inspiration of how strong a Guardian can be?"
"Putting on a show, huh?"
"An inspiring show."
"Fine. In only one condition."
"Okay."
"You'll do it too."
Luxe sighed but still smiled. "Alright. Now, shall we see what surprises he has in store for us?"
"Tsk. Fine."
After lunch break, the stadium was whole again. As Wynter, Faith, and Elliott sat on their seats again, they wondered what was delaying the battle. "Huh, normally they'll start right away," Elliott said.
"Do you think something happened?" She asked.
They both look curiously at Wynter, who knew what might've happened. "Wha— I— Well— There is one possibility in my mind." They moved closer to understand what he knew. "Maybe they have some surprises in store. I am not sure, though."
