Angelina is put in the same room as Echo. Arrow usually shares the bed with her, but she prefers the bathtub. She learns that Arrow, who is a water nymph, used to be able to swim in lakes and oceans, but after she had been cursed by a gnome, she can't go into the water without getting harmed. The thorny vines on her wrists threaten to hurt her everytime she tries to enter a big body of water. The bathtub is the closest she can get to swimming. Angelina and Echo got to bed as soon as possible.
Echo went out like a light as soon as her head hit the pillow. The young princess could only sit there, head full of thoughts. She remembers what had happened in the bathroom. Maybe she could talk to the spirits that are, how did Derek say it... Tethered to her soul? She quietly slips out of the bed, going towards the mirror that is in Echo's room. It is covered as well, but soon removed by the young girl. She looks in the mirror, seeing the two women again.
They stare back at her, the blonde's face still bored and the violet-haired woman's mouth is pulled into a sneer. How can she talk to them? Does she just need to say something and wait for them to respond?
"So, you're the pitiful thing we're stuck to? What a terrible day," the violet-haired female sneers. The blonde does not say anything, her eyes seemingly staring off into the distance. Angelina shrinks back a little, her eyes making contact with the one who has spoken.
The little girl decides to try and talk with this Spirit Beast. "Hello! My name is Angelina, what's your name?" she asks, her voice slightly wavering. It seems to make the woman smirk, watching her lean closer to her body in the mirror.
"This one is so polite, don't you think so, sister?" she takes a peak at the other woman, her grin widening. "My name is Violet and I think you should rethink being so polite to us."
"Shut up already. We're stuck like this now until she dies. I don't need you annoying me too," the blonde says monotonously. The two just float there in the air, beginning to bicker. The blonde mostly responds in smart quips while Violet is angry and trying to get back at her sister. Angelina feels awkward to be witnessing this. But it makes her think. She couldn't hear them before, so that must mean that mirrors and reflective surfaces must be able to connect her to them. She tests this by moving away from the mirror, until she has nothing of herself in the reflection of. Silence fills the room, or does it fill her head? Maybe the silence is always there and only she can hear them? She moves back, seeing the two still bickering."Hey!" she says in a louder tone, but not loud enough to wake up Echo. "Who are you two?"
Violet runs a hand through her hair. "We're dragons, of course. Can't you see that?"
"We don't look like normal dragons, idiot," the blonde says. "I am Sunshine, a dragon assassin born from a royal dragon while this idiot is born from the same commoner mother as I."
This interests Angelina, the part about the royal dragon and the part about her being a dragon assassin. "You killed other dragons?"
Sunshine glares at her, a frown resting upon her face, "Of course not. Dragons don't kill other dragons. We are the superior species. If a dragon kills another dragon, they are cast out and then hunted down and killed for their treason. Violet and I are assassins who kill other creatures for either dragons or creatures below us. Whatever we have to do to get paid."
It brings a bit of fear into Angelina. These two killed whatever they were being paid for? That's awful in her eyes. The sound of rustling blankets takes Angelina's attention. She looks to see that Echo has wrapped the blanket around her like a cocoon. She quickly grabs the blanket and covers up the mirror, much to the two's "Hey's!" as their voices silence from her hearing. It is eerily quiet, which makes sense since it is night time. Angelina walks over to the bed, climbing on and just laying down on her side. Echo has all of the blanket and she doesn't want to bother her. So, she got as comfy as she could and fell asleep.
