"Forest will you sleep with me?" Fire asked me as is was tucking her into bed. After dinner, I already felt like I was apart of the family. I already had the urge to protect Fire, care for her, and make sure good in every way possible. I already loved it here.
"I think I should sleep in my bed tonight, you know it being my first day here." I told her nicely putting her down, besides she has a twin size bed. She looked up at me, her hazel eyes glowing, and begged.
"Please Forest, I can lay in your bed, if my bed is too small." She begged. I rolled my eyes and laughed. She was so adorable. How could I resist?
"Lets go to my room" I said grabbing her hand. She then tugged on my arm running and dragging me to my room. We raced to my bed and dived in. I cuddled her like the sister I never had and started to close my eyes.
"Forest?" She whipered into the darkness. Her angelic voice sent chills down my back.
"Yes Fire," I answered her.
"Can you sing to me?" She asked. The first song that popped into my head was Try by Colbie Caillat.
"Put your make-up on
Get your nails done
Curl your hair
Run the extra mile
Keep it slim so they like you, do they like you?
Get your sexy on
Don't be shy, girl
Take it off
This is what you want, to belong, so they like you
Do you like you?
You don't have to try so hard
You don't have to, give it all away
You just have to get up, get up, get up, get up
You don't have to change a single thing
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try
You don't have to try
Mm, mm
Get your shopping on, at the mall, max your credit cards
You don't have to choose, buy it all, so they like you
Do they like you?
Wait a second,
Why, should you care, what they think of you
When you're all alone, by yourself, do you like you?
Do you like you?
You don't have to try so hard
You don't have to, give it all away
You just have to get up, get up, get up, get up
You don't have to change a single thing
You don't have to try so hard
You don't have to bend until you break
You just have to get up, get up, get up, get up
You don't have to change a single thing
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try
You don't have to try
Mm, mm
You don't have to try so hard
You don't have to, give it all away
You just have to get up, get up, get up, get up
You don't have to change a single thing
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try, try, try, try
You don't have to try
You don't have to try
Take your make-up off
Let your hair down
Take a breath
Look into the mirror, at yourself
Don't you like you?
'Cause I like you""I like that song,Forest." Fire whispered into the darkness.
"I do too" I whispered back.
"So do I," I looked up to see Sam standing in the doorway. "Was that you singing?."
"Uh yea," I whispered. I felt Fire nuzzle into my chest and I heard light snoring before he talked again.
"You can sing. Like for real for real. Would you consider being on my mixtape?" He asked. I looked at him and smiled. I doubt he saw my face.
"Mixtape?" I questioned. "Why would I be on your mixtape?" I laughed.
"Because, you got them vocals," Sam said.
"Look no offence but what do you know about rapping?" I asked.
"Just because im rich dont mean I dont know how to rap," Sam said mugging
"What happened to don't judge a book by its cover? Like you, you are a foster kid, you probably never even had anthing remotely as good as this your entire life. I could easily say you gonna steal for us then run away just by how you came in our house looking. But, I don't judge. My parents trust you so I do too." I got out of bed and walked towards him.
"Okay, I'll sing for your lil mixtape," I told him. "But your words gotta be deep. None of that 'fuck bitches get money' stuff." I held out my hand.
"Deal,"Sam said shaking my hand. "Oh, and umm you gonna need your sleep tonight, so I'd advise you kick Fire out your room." I looked and him and shook my head no.
"Why would I do that?" I asked him. Sam started laughing while walking downstairs. I can't believe he just ignored me. Whatever. I'm tired to bed I Go.
