Chapter 7- Smile

~Chapter 7~

Liliana’s POV

I gently closed the door as I walked out of the office

I had explained everything to them, and they were surprisingly understanding of my situation.

I thought for sure that they would kick me out, but the three insisted that I stay.

At least until I got my situation sorted out.          

Whatever that means.

I turned around, only to bump into Angela.

“Oh, hello! How was your talk, if you don’t mind me asking?”

“It went better than I expected it too. They’re letting me stay here, at least until I get things sorted out.”

“That’s wonderful news! I’ve always wanted more girls around here!”

She giggled nervously, probably because my face was so blank and emotionless.

I don’t mean to look like that, it just happens.

I had no reason to show any emotion when living with my old pack.

“Umm… so, I’ll take you to your room now.”

She led me to a guest bedroom.

I looked in the closet, it was fully stocked with generic clothing, like different solid colored v-neck shirts, a few pairs of skinny jeans, flats, and heels…?

“I don’t know if these clothes will fit you perfectly or if the shoes are the right size, but I went shopping for you I hope you don’t mind.”

“Thank you, these are perfect.”

I flashed her a rare smile, and she gave me a warm one back.

It felt good to smile.

“If you need anything else, we can always go shopping this weekend, so just let me know!”

With that she left the room.

 

“I can tell that you will be safe here Lilliana.”

Me too Stella… me too. Alpha Dominic is very intimidating though… I wonder what’s bothering him.

“I had the chance to connect with his wolf, he is heartbroken.”

What do you mean?

“His mate is dead. That may be why he is so cruel.”

Oh… I see. That makes sense…

There was a soft knock at the door.

It’s Elder Zebadiah.

“Hello, Lily. I was wondering if you would like to have dinner with the pack. You will, after all, be staying with us for a while so I thought it would be nice for you to meet them.”
