I sit in the 5sos dressing room, in Edmonton Canada, clicking away at my laptop after hanging up the phone with Karen, a brief conversation about her appreciation for the new hire I selected for backline. I am subbing in for Greg on the show tonight, but only for the guys, so I have an hour of free time while Hey Violet is on stage headlining for them.

"Hey, Baby," Ashton sits next to me, kissing my temple before gulping down a bottle of water. "I feel like I haven't seen you all day."

I turn to him, "I know, I feel like the last time I saw you was in the shower."

"Well I did leave before you were ready, so that sounds about right, actually."

I frown at him before giving him a quick kiss, "How was your day? I didn't get to hear the radio interview, how was that?"

"That's right you had hire interviews today. How did that go?"

"I asked first," I stick my tongue out playfully, making him giggle.

"Same ol' same ol'. Although they did ask about you," he smiles slyly at me.

"Oh, gosh," I close my eyes and flop my head back.

"Well first they said they really wished you were there because they would have brought you in with us," he giggles at the horrified looked on my face before continuing, "then they asked how the fandom was treating you and how the rest of the guys felt about our relationship."

"Oh no," I grimace at him.

"Yeah, it got kinda weird," he laughs, "but I'm sure they want to tell you on the bus tonight."

"Greeeeat," I tell him with fake enthusiasm.

"How were your interviews?" he changes the subject after another chuckle.

"They went well, I think I found someone to replace Shannon so she can go back home to Scotland and start her family there."

"Nice, I'm happy for her," he smiles before adding, "and you're covering for Greg tonight, what a day for you I reckon?"

"Yes, I am going to sleep well tonight," I scoff, feeling drained as I run through my day and then remembering something special that happened.

I look up at Ashton excited before he says, "In bunk with me right? I've missed you the last two nights."

I soften my face to him, putting aside my moment to attend to his, "Okay I can sleep with you tonight. But you can't deny your body is more rested and healed when we sleep apart. I'm just on the other side of the wall, Ashbaby," I give him a puppy-dog kiss, rubbing my nose against his before giving him a real one while he sighs.

"Yes, but I don't like it."

"Stop it," I giggle at his theatrics, "Soon we'll be in Illinois and we will have a bed to share, so we can cuddle and you can get the rest you need at the same time."

"Good," he says sassily as I remember my something special, checking the time; still forty minutes left.

"Can I show you something?"

"Sure," he eyes me suspiciously as I stand up adjusting my simple short sleeved grey dress.

"C'mon," I beckon him with a wave and lead him out of the dressing room, hearing the guys approaching and then hastily running to round the corner before they see us.

He darts around the corner quickly after me, pressing me to the wall as I cover my laughter. He leans his head back to check if we were caught, turning to me with a brilliant wild smile, indicating we are in the clear. I kiss him, slipping my tongue over his before I grab his hand and lead him underground into the bones of Rexall Place.
