I sit on the bed provided. It was much better than the one I've been in for... however long, and definitely better than the ground.

"We're all down the hall and to the right, then right again. Can't miss it," the one named Tony said. It was Steve still behind him. Steve reminded me of the silent guards, but sometimes he would throw Tony an annoyed glance.

"Whenever you want to come down, we'll be there," Steve said his first words to me. I swear I know him, and he looked at me like he felt the same, "sleep well."

Him and Tony walked out, dragging the door along behind them.

The room grew dark and I pull the blankets over me, melting into the nice feeling. It was so... vague, the feeling was a memory that I don't remember.

**

I peel the blankets off, cool air wrapping around me. I slide off the bed and reach for the doorknob. Whatever was real and what wasn't, it's all mixed up in this brain of mine. From Nat to Steve, it's a hot mess.

But I'm definitely in a new room, not one anything like the rooms I've been in.

The door swings open with a red glow. I throw my hands up in fists and a girl wearing a long red coat smiled at me.

"Hello. Bela, is it? I've got your breakfast."

Breakfast? "Where am I? Who are you?" I feel like I know her, too.

"Don't you remember? You're with the Avengers."

"I... Avengers," I was introduced... yesterday? "I- I hit my head, I don't remember much."

"I'm almost certain you don't remember that party, I've heard a lot about you. And not only you, either," she set the tray down on the edge of the bed.

"What? What party, what about me, who else?"

She simply smiled, putting a hand on my shoulder, "come out when you're ready."

As she was leaving, I grabbed her wrist, "wait! Please, if- if you've heard about me... do- do you know..." I swallow, looking down at her boots, "do you know my real name?"

She tilted her head to the side, "it's not 'Bela'?"

I shook my head, "I.. I didn't want Tony to call me 'kid', so I made something up," I dropped her wrist, leaning on the mattress.

"Oh, don't worry. He calls everyone 'kid'."

I hum in response, taking a sip of the drink.

"Bye, Bela."

"Bye." Whatever you're name is.

She closed the door behind her. I ate whatever was on the plate, not really paying much attention. I know these people, something about them.

"I'm almost certain you don't remember the party." What did she mean by that? The pa-

The party. When all of this started. Was she in on this? Is she what happened to me?

The party. What happened at the party?

I trace my mind back, but all it is is bits and pieces, so much missing it couldn't even begin to be a puzzle to put together. Maybe twenty pieces of a thousand, there's nothing to do with that, just throw the puzzle away.

Or hunt for the pieces.

I slide the tray aside and run out the door. To the right, right again. There's a large, open doorway, a couch full of people. Each and every one of them see me standing there, all eyes on me.

Some of them waved, some of them said "Bela" and some said "hi" or "hey". I plainly stood there, my jaw hanging. There were around ten people, they were all so... normal. Or, looked normal, at least. Who knows, I probably look normal right now.

One of them moved over to make a small space beside them, patting it for me to sit down. His hair was blonde and his eyes were blue, but it wasn't Steve. He had long hair, like... like my hair. Sort of. He smiled kindly, chewing something.

I swallow and it felt like "the first day at a new school" or however people described it. I don't know, it's been a long, long time. I sit down beside the man and fold my arms, pressing my elbows into my knees.

"So, Bela," Tony began, standing up and widening his arms in front of the whole couch, "should we introduce everyone?"

I nod, not saying a word. If I could remember a first day at a school, it was probably this.

Tony pointed around, the man next to me was Thor. Kind of like the God, except... they claimed he is the God. Peter, another Peter, Scott, the girl that came in was Wanda, Bruce, and Clint had just gone to the bathroom.

"And everyone here has different powers, whether born, made, or invented," he motioned to himself. Oh my God, I've been roped in with a load of drug addicts.

"No you haven't, Bela, it's just new to you," Wanda spoke up, "I read minds, we don't do drugs."

There's no way this is possible.

"But it is."

"Well," Tony clasped his hands together, "let me get you all caught up, then. Bruce, enormous green rage monster. Thor- already said he's the God of Thunder, yeah? Wanda here can also warp reality, I built myself a suit, Steve has super strength, this Peter-" he put a hand on a young boys shoulder, about my age, "-Parker, he's.. a spider. Spider-Man. This Peter-" the other Peter raised his hand, "-Quill, he's..."

"Half god, half human," Quill responded.

"Scott can shrink or grow with his suit. And Clint can shoot arrows."

I slowly nod my head, watching my hands, "so.. what am I doing here?"

"You, Bela, have strength. A good fighter. You fit in well."

"Oh," was all I could manage. This was a lot, definitely a lot. Wanda, don't read my mind. Please.

"Okay, I won't."

Everyone looked at us, confused, but then shook it off. I continued thinking to myself.

Powers. Those superhero shows I watched as a kid. It's all real?

"Someone tell me about the party. Who else knows about that?" I poke my head up, looking around at everyone. Wanda, Steve, Scott, Quill, they all had a hand raised. "What happened? Were you there?"

"We all were. That was years ago, B," Quill replied, his face falling.

"We have you and Justin a funeral, we figured.. you know what we figured," said Scott.

"And none of you remember my name?"

"Your name isn't Bela?" Tony asked. No one answered him.

"We hadn't even remembered your existence until Stephen gave us the memory. He told us it was stripped, and everyone who ever knew you forgot. But he never gave your name."

"I guess I'm Bela, then."
