Thank you to everyone who's reading this and voting. It's at #6 Natxreader right now! I'm not exactly new to writing, but if you've read Here For You I think you can spot the difference on how much better my writing has gotten. (I started HFY Sept.2020, finished Mar.2021) Don't forget I read everyone's comments :)

"What do you like to do, Bela?" Quill asked.

Kill. "Uh, I don't know. I haven't been able to do anything."

"Well we need to get you into some games! Who's up for Uno?"

"I'm in," Parker raised a hand. Others joined in one at a time until only a sassy-faced Tony was left.

"You in, Stark?" Steve's sass level matched Tony's expression.

"Yeah. Fine. For Bela."

"For Bela," everyone else said at the same time. And at that time, I actually felt like smiling. After years of only smiling around one person, I want to again.

But that wouldn't bring her back. I killed her, and I'll never forgive myself for that.

"Whatcha got there?" Scott stood in front of me, pointing down at my breasts. I was about to punch him before I realized I was gripping the necklace.

"Oh- it's just... a... it's a gift."

Scott smiled, putting his hands on his hips, "what's his name?"

I felt my face flush and tears race to my eyes. I shouldn't have moved. "Uh- it- I, n-," I sputtered. What if they didn't accept me?

Then I could just beat them, I guess.

But they have powers, never mind.

"Don't be so straightforward, Lang," Steve approached, separating us, "she could be soft about the subject."

"Oh- oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean- is... is he dead?"

"Scott!" Wanda whipped her head around.

"Sorry!" He threw his hands up, "Juuuuust asking."

I dropped my hand into my lap, looking at my shoes. Might as well play pretend, right? "Yeah, he- he's dead."

"Come on, guys," Quill called from the floor, others circling around him as he began singing, "let's gather round the campfire and sing our campfire song-"

"Our c-a-m-p-f-i-r-e—s-o-n-g song!" Parker continued. Tony gave him a bothered glance and his smile fell. "S-sorry, Mr. Stark. I like the beat."

"What beat?" I ask, sitting between Wanda and Tony.

"Nothing," Tony held up a hand, silencing everyone, "and what the hell takes Clint five years?"

"He fell in," Scott replied.

Fell in where?

Who I assumed as Clint came waltzing in like he'd been summoned, folding his arms, "what'd I miss?"

"We're going to play Uno, Mr.Hawkeye!" Parker said. I didn't know how old he is, but he can't have been that old. Maybe the age I was when I was taken.

Taken.

Clint took a seat and Quill passed around a bunch of Cards.

"So, to begin-"

Clint intervened, taking his cards and pointing by a thumb at me, "who's this?"

"Bela. As I was saying-"

"Woah woah woah, slow down. Bela?"

"That's me," I raise a hand eye-height, "and you're Clint, I'm guessing?"

"That is correct," he nodded, "so- what's the story, why's she here?" He looked around for answers.

"We'll get to that later," Quill sassed at him, "but we're playing Uno. Take your cards."

As Clint grabbed his cards, I looked at mine, in a heap on the ground, "what do I do with this?"

"Hold them like this," Tony leaned over, showing me how he did it, "and keep them hidden from everyone you can."

"But you're showing me-"

"Because you're a new player, it doesn't matter all that much. Win or lose, I don't care."

"Okay," I pick up the cards. I try to hold them the same way, one of the cards falling from my hand, "shit-"

"Language," Steve said across from me.

I apologized and Tony set down his cards to help me.

**

"Uno!" Wanda smiled, holding up one card and setting it down slowly, one still in her other hand, hidden. I've dropped my cards multiple times, sometimes people saw and others they didn't.

I look at the deck. She placed a green three. So I can either put a three.... or a green. Or Wild, of +4. This is so confusing.

I grab my last green card out of a giant handful, since someone decided to give me all their draw fours. I set it down on top of the deck and Tony takes his turn, going around to Parker, Steve, Clint, Quill, Thor, and Banner. I only just remembered he was here, I can't see him and he hasn't said a word. Not even an "Uno" once.

Wanda puts down her last card with a grin. Everyone had their opinions and some sort f them laid down their cards face up. I debated doing the same.

I don't know, I think I may actually like it here. For now, until they do whatever I came here for. And everyone has... powers. I'm going to die in a week if I piss anyone off. Especially the "enormous green rage monster". But Bruce seems sweet, I don't know how he's a monster.

"I'm off," Tony said and jumped to his feet, "Bela, you coming with?"

"Where?"

"Show you around, help with some memory, let you know where stuff is, what happens 'doing here."

My memory is just fine, thanks. Excluding the part where I don't even know who I am. "Okay."

I ended up setting my cards down and followed him out the door. He rounded a corner and I nearly lost him.

He led me to a garage of sort, if I got that right, and pressed a button. There was a loud hissing sound and Tony raised his hand in the air.

I was about to question his actions when a chunk of metal came flying at him. He didn't even flinch when it interacted with his hand.

It wrapped around him, more coming toward us and slamming into him. It covered him entirely and he reached out for the last piece. It landed in his hand with a loud clatter and he attached it to his face, looking over at me as it flipped on its hinges, revealing his eyes.

"This is my suit. You like? It's around my seven hundredth one."

"Sev- I won't ask. It's... nice." Shiny red and gold.

"Come over here," he motioned to his direct side. I move closer and he wraps an arm behind my back, another hissing sound much louder, and my feet were lifted from the ground.

I look down as the ground shrank beneath me. Upward, the ceiling was far away, but growing closer. I kick my legs and grab at the metal arm, "put me down. Out my down right. Now."

Immediately, the hissing ended and we plummeted towards the ground. I didn't even have time to open my mouth before his feet collided with the cement. He let go of me and I backed away.

Flying. Last time I checked, humans couldn't do that.
