the next day, sunwoo woke up to his phone's loud alarm. he groaned and threw his phone on the ground, he was lucky that it hit the carpet.
he felt an empty space in his heart, something that he's never felt before. it felt as if something or someone was.. missing.
he shook off the feeling and got ready for school.

it was weird to see the seat beside his desk empty today. even if eric was late, he wouldve told sunwoo about it.
and then it hit him.
what if hes missing? the letter SA wrote to him.. the dots connect too well for his liking.

sunwoo sighed and ruffled his hair in frustration. he slammed his phone on the desk, attracting stares from the surrounding classmates.
"you good?" a voice asked from behind him.
he turned around to see hyunjoon, a member of the dance club, leaning on the back of his chair.
"no. im alright though"
"do you want to talk about it?"
"no. i dont want to worry you and suffocate you with my problems"
hyunjoon furrowed his eyebrows and sighed.
"well, if you want to talk, ive got your back"
sunwoo gave him his best reassuring smile, but his brain wasnt as trustworthy as he thought. it looked fake, forced.
