Bye Denise

A/N: I don't know if it was established earlier but William Ashford is Denise's dad. Anyway enjoy the chapter.

        After being discharged  from the police station I reviewed from Ashford's lawyer the documents that named me owner of Eastmarch, the Ashford's manor, and the majority shareholder of their company. Sadly the stocks were useless since the Stanton's withdrew their financial support and the stocks were worth $20 apiece. I decided to dismatle the Mercantile and put out orders to sell off all the different groups of the company. Many of the Ashford's competitors steped up to buy up the parts of their companies.  After 3 weeks all sales were finalized. Ashford Mercantile was dead and I had Eastmarch burned down as a final penalty to Denise. Now the really hard part was coming. How the hell am I going to take down Stanton Indutrial?

I was spending the afternoon playing with Charlie when I heard a knock on my apartment door. I opened it and my jaw hit the floor when I saw who it was. Lexi was standing infront of me and she looked nervous.

"Wh-Wh-What are you doing here?"

She shifted on her feet, looking around nervously. She was weraing a simple blue sundress  that showed of her amzing body, and instead of heels she had on a pair of sandals and her hair was in a braid. She looked up at me and said " I got your message about seeing Charlie. I was hoping the offer was still on the table".

"Yeah Come in" I stepped back and let her into the apartment. She smiled softly at me before walking in. "MAMA!! MAMA BACK!" Charlie barreled towards her and jumped into her arms.  Lexi simply held him and kissed his face over and over. The sight warmed my heart as my family was together again. Lexi spent the whole day playing with Charlie and he was ecstatic that his mother was back.

Finally night time rolled around. Lexi tucked him in just like she used to when we were together while I sat and watched television.  Lexi came over from Charlie's room and looked at me sadly. "Do you want something to drink or eat or anything?" I offered. "Can I talk to you for a little bit?" she asked.

She must want some  joint agreement for Charlie. That's what this is about. "I know you never cheated on me." WHAT?! "And you know this how?"

Lexi looked down at her feet and I saw a few tears escape her eyes. " I saw Denise begging my father for money, William lost everything in a game of poker and the man that they lost too destroyed their house and  the company. She said she did all he asked in breaking up our marriage and that  she only ever wanted to ensure her family's survival. I heard her talk about making the photographs and forging the emails. I felt so sick with myself that I ran away from Darmallon and I have been working and  living in a small hotel room. Then I got your voice-mail about visiting Charlie and..." she trailed off. 

"So you think this is gonna make everything better!!?" I yelled. "You tore me apart with those papers, you walked away from our son, and I can't be with anyone else because I'm terrified of this happening again!"

Lexi looked at me sadly and wrapped me in a hug which I returned. " I know I don't deserve instant forgiveness Ethan,but can you find it in you to forgive me and let me come home?" she asked with a shaky voice.

"Lex, I can't forgive you but I will give you a chance to earn it from me." I countered.

Hearing this Lexi looked at me with a surprised look. "What do I have to do? You name it and I will do it." she said.

"First, cut all ties with your parents and brother and agree to joint custody with Charlie."

"But what about being with you?" she asked.

I shook my head and I looked her in the eyes. "I can't take the impact of another divorce or another accusation without evidence. You nearly destroyed me when you divorced me  and the only reason I'm still standing is because of that little boy that we have.I'm afraid I can't afford to put my heart on the line again"

Lexi looked down for a minute and then she looked at me "I can't let you go." she said.

"You don't get a choice Lex" I sighed.

"Ethan, I have been in love with you since the day i saw you in that club, nothing ever changed that. I was stupid not to trust you but please..." I cut her off.

"Lexi, I still love you to but I can't be with you. You gave up without a fight and you let that rat-face called Peter talk shit about the baby and you believed a girl that I never met  that we had been having a 7 month affair. You said you would trust me and have faith in our love but you didn't." I finished.

Lexi shook her head and walked to the door " I lost you once Ethan, I won't do it again. I will make you trust me again, I will make us a family again, and I will earn your forgivness the right way. I know this will happen because you love me  still and I still love  you, and when you come back, I will never let you go and if you do go, I will have to follow". She walked over to me and kissed me on the cheek.

"I'll see you later Ethan" and she turned and went out the door.

It's been 3 days since Lexi came by and honestly I don't know what to do anymore. I still want her but I also want my day of reckoning to come with her family. I still love her beyond measure but can I trust her with Charlie and myself. Questions are easy, answers not so much. Suddenly I heard someone call out my name and I froze when she walked towards me. It was Denise wearing the sluttiest  dress ever and her face was decked out in makeup. She had a hot body  but it was nothing close to Lexi's.  She could have been pretty but considering all she did to us I only see her with hatred.

"What do you want?" I  snarled at her.

"I want you Ethan, I broke you away from Lexi so I could have you to myself." she smiled seductivly at me. But despite her alluring tone, I could also sense a feeling of desperation. Being poor must not suit her. Welcome to my life bitch.

"Why don't you cut the crap and  tell me what you want Denise."

"Well I do want a quick fuck but also I want my family's company and house back."  she announced.

"Tough shit, I don't own either one. Your competitors own your company and the land where Eastmarch used to be is a smoldering ruin and I sold the land to the government." I began walking away.

"You SON OF A BITCH!" she screamed. " I lost everything because of you!"

"You drove away my wife and destroyed my marriage. What goes around comes around" I replied coolly. Denise began huffing and growling till she slapped me across the face hard as she could. Then I heard Lexi yelling from a distance she stormed over to Denise and punched her in the face. " You were my FRIEND! You lied about sleeping with my husband, you said that you had been with him for 7 months and he never touched you. If I ever see you again I will kill your mother and make you eat her heart! "

Holy Shit. Lexi is so fucking hot when she's mad.

Denise slunk off like a dog with its tail between its legs. Lexi stood next to me shaking in anger. I took her hand and lead her to my apartment. The moment I brought her inside she looked around. " Where is Charles?"

"He is with my neighbor, she babysits him when I work."I responded.

"Good." she stated and next thing I knew we were making out hard in the living room, I was so turned on by Lexi's display of fury with Denise and she was running on high on adrenaline. We both knew it was a bad idea but our bodies wern't stopping.  We barged into my bedroom with our clothing being pulled of in lust. I laid Lexi on my bed and she faced me with a lustful look in her eyes. Then the magic began.
