The Injury (Yuri!!! on Ice Fanfic)

Hey guys! This is my first story!! I hope it's not too short. Enjoy!

It was a normal day in Hasetsu. Victor and Yuri, who just left the house, arrived at the rink holding hands.

"Tell me." Victor says, looking into Yuri's dark and mysterious eyes. "Do you like going to practice this early?"
"I don't mind. As long as you're here!" Yuri smiled. Victor's face went hot.
They walked in the rink and got ready to go on the ice.

As Victor was tying Yuri's skates, Yuri felt anxious. He didn't want Victor to find out what happened the other day. But, he didn't know if he can keep it a secret for much longer. "Is something wrong?" Victor asked, having a concerned look. "You don't look okay."

Yuri assured Victor he was fine and they both skated around on the ice.

"Okay Yuri.." Victor instructed. "I need you to try to perfect some of your flimsy jumps." Yuri responded, "That's a pretty bold way to put it.." He scratched his head.

Yuri thought. What was he supposed to do? I guess he could just do it like usual and hope for the best.

He got a good head start and aimed for a quadruple flip. All was going well..

Until he landed.

He actually made the jump, but at the moment of impact, he cringed.

His secretly fractured right leg had pain that was beyond what Yuri could comprehend.

Yuri let out a crying yell of distress and Victor skated as fast as he could to him.
"Yuri??? What is going on?!"

Yuri remained silent trying to stop his tears from flowing down his face.
"Do..do you remember that night when I went to the rink by myself? Well.. I did my flips as usual, always flimsy like you describe them. But one of them..I landed completely wrong and bashed my leg. I wanted to keep it from you until now because.."

"Because..?" Victor was filled with concern yet anguish.

"I didn't want you to think that I can't do anything by myself. I feel so useless.."

Victor was on the verge of tears, but he had to be the good coach he was. He bent down to where Yuri sat and kissed his forehead. "Can you get up?" Victor whispered.

Yuri tried to get up but failed. Victor had a shocked look on his face. "Yuri, let's fix you up." Yuri grabbed onto Victor and he stood up with Yuri in his arms. Victor skated off and they went to the hospital.
