A New Friend

     I was running back through the ally way, trying to get away from the police like I always do. Who would think, me a little kid running from the police, my h/c hair blowing in the wind. I look back seeing I had lost the police, I jogged up the stairs to a hole in the roof of an old abandoned building. I jump down landing on the mattresses  softly. "Jasper?" I called out, no reply
  "Horace?" Still no reply
Weird they always wait for me when they go out. I knew they left cause wink was gone to. I sat down on the floor and grabbed a book of the couch. Most kids didn't like reading but I on the other hand loved it. I mean come on you can never go wrong with reading a nice book

     A while had passed and I was getting bored, so I decided to go look for jasper and Horace. I walked past people some looking concerend some not looking up from their phones. As I was walking closer to the fountain I saw Wink run up to me," Hi buddy".  I picked  him up and walked over to jasper and Horace who were in the fountain.
   "Hey guys what's up" I said and sat on the edge, petting wink.
   " nothing much just the usual" Horace said making me laugh a little.
   I looked around seeing a couple people around but not many, I looked down and saw a girl wearing a hat. "Is she asleep?" I asked
  "Yeah I think so" Jasper said. I turned and looked the opposite direction looking at the people walk by in a hurry, street lights that had been turned off.
   "Ah your awake" I heard Jasper say.
I turned my head to see the girl looking at us in confusion, her dog sitting with her. "Who are you, stay back!" The girl said "were are your parents" Horace asked. The girl suddenly look upset, concerned. "She has no family" I said. That was ment to be said in my head. "Hey!" We all turned our heads, shit the cops. I set down wink and ran. I sighed, I already went through this this morning. I ran as fast as I could, I could have walked and this guy would never catch up to me. I looked back and saw the guys and Wink, we ran our usual path up to the roof of the house. I jumped down once again into the house and  sat down on the floor. The boys followed behind with Wink. "Maybe we lost  her" Horace said. That was soon followed by a soft thud then another. There was the girl from before, now looking at her she was kinda cute. "Don't think so" Jasper said. I giggled at what he said getting everyone's attention. "sorry" I said smiling. 

      We had come to the decision to let the girl stay, it wasn't really that hard I just had to make Horace suck it up, " Well if your gonna be staying here you should probably know our names, I'm Y/N, this is Horace, and Jasper." I said pointing at the boys " and this is Wink" I added pointing to the dog Horace was holding. "Oh, I'm Estella, nice to meet you guys, thanks for letting me stat"  Estella said, "oh uh just so you know the police are looking for me, and their gonna be looking for this" she said taking off her hat. "oh my-" Horace began but was cut off, " I think it looks rather nice" said Jasper. I couldn't help but stare. Her hair was so pretty, I loved it. " I need to dye it" She added.  And that was the begining of a new friendship that would last forever.
