Clay doesn't remember that lesson. Even though it was the first lesson of the day, all he could think about was what was gunna happen when he meets George at the bathroom.

He's going to get beat up.

He knows it.

Clay shouldn't go, and he knows that.

But he wants to.

So he will.

Clay isn't new to making bad decisions. Bad decisions run in the family. We have his dad, who made so many bad decisions he landed a pretty spot in jail and a restraining order placed on him from Clay's mom. And mom made a bad decision because Clay is here.

The bell rang. Students pooled out of the class, but Clay stayed in his seat. George stood and turned, placing his hand on Clay's back.

"Are you coming, prettyboy?" his sweet accent rung in Clay's ear. Clay always loved British accents. He found them comforting.

"Yeah, yeah, hold on."

"Okay, I'll wait for you."

"No. No, you won't. You are gunna have your idiot friends come beat me up or something." Clay stood, walking past George and out the door.

"Surely I won't." George tried to keep up with Clay, but he struggled to.

Clay turned on his heals, the shorter nearly slammed into the boys chest before he caught himself. "Listen, I don't know who you think you are, but I'm going to need you to stop following me. I don't want to be your friend and I don't want to get to know you. Now please leave me alone, thank you."

George's mouth fell open just a bit, looking up at the blond. "Fine, okay. I'll still be waiting for you, I hope you know that." George walked past Clay, not looking back.

"Oh." he looked at the ground. Clay hasn't made a friend in person in so long, he doesn't remember how people become friends. With Sap it was easy, they met on an old minecraft server when they were kids and they were attached to eachother since.

Sapnap.

He'll ask Sapnap.

Clay pulled out his phone and opened discord. Sapnap has been playing minecraft for seven hours now. Goddamn.

Okay. Meeting George. That's fine. It'll be fine. Okay.

Fifth period. After this class will be lunch, and during lunch he will have to meet George.

"Okay class, do the homework. Have a good day. Don't do anything I wouldn't do. Uhh, bye." the teacher said as the bell rang. Clay liked this teacher. They were sweet and calming. They had a nice voice.

Clay stood up, grabbing his backpack and heading out the door.

Meeting George.

It'll be okay.

He walked through the quite halls of Greenbrook High. Most people were at lunch or in class. The only sounds were muffled talking coming from the cafeteria and bathrooms, gentle footsteps, lockers closing and the occasional teacher raising their voices to quiet down the students. Clay liked the noises. They were calming.

Clay rounded the corner, and there he was.

George was gently swaying on his feet, looking at his phone. Clay came closer and leaned on the wall opposite of the boy.

"Hey." Clay mumbled, grabbing the attention of the brunet.

"Clay! I mean, Clay, hey." George looked up at the taller, giving him a small smile.

They stood in awkward silence for a couple long seconds before George cleared his throat and spoke up, "Listen, my friends, they aren't the sweetest. They think they're hot shit but really they aren't. I'm sorry if Gene hurt you."

Clay flinched a bit, slowly looking at the ground, "It's fine. Please don't apologize."

Clay didn't know if he liked George yet. But he seemed fine, he seemed trustworthy.

"I've always liked the name Clay, just thought you should know."

"Oh yeah?"

Yeah, Clay likes George. He likes his accent and the way he tried to protect Clay. He likes the way he dresses and the way he focuses in class. He likes his smile, his smile is really comforting.

George walked to the wall Clay was at and slid down the wall, grabbing Clay's hand and pulling him down to the ground next to him.

"Talk to me, I wanna get to know you better." George said, cracking his hands.

So they talked.

Clay really liked George's voice. It was comforting. Calming. Sweet.

Fifteen minutes pass and the stupid fucking bell rang and broke George's sentence. He was talking about his favorite color or something.

"Awe, well what's your next class, prettyboy?"

Clay brought out his phone and opened his phone case, a small slip of paper falling out. He unfolded the slip of paper, "Uh, gym. Yeah, gym."

"Oh! Gym is fun, you'll like it." George grabbed Clay's phone and held it up to his face until it unlocked. He went to contacts and typed in numbers.

"What are you doing?"

"Giving you my number, dumbass."

Clay smiled and looked at his lap until George handed his phone back to Clay.

"Okay, have a good class, prettyboy." George stood up and skipped down the hall, leaving Clay on the dirty school hallway floor.

He gave me his number. Don't overthink it. Clay opened his phone, he clicked on discord.

dream
ya, hes hot. and im glad i went hah thanks sapnap <3

sapnap

Clay loved how supportive Sapnap was. Ever since Clay came out as bisexual, Nick always supported him. He was an amazing friend. Clay didn't know what he'd do without him.
