George groaned, throwing himself on the floor. "It's so fucking hot, oh my god."

Clay jumped down from the top bunk of Bat and George's bed, landing just next to George's head, "Let's go do something. I'm bored." George nodded, sitting up.

Bat opened their bedroom door, looking at the boys. "I'm going to the skate park, I heard it's pretty empty today. Do you guys wanna come?" the two boys looked at each other, nodding slightly.

"I like this one." George said, showing Clay a blue board that had a black heart in the center. He carried black wheels and grip-tape with the board. He seemed pretty set on his decision.

"Okay, I think I'm going to get this one." Clay picked a splatter painted board off of the wall, grabbing black grip-tape and a set of black wheels. "Hey Bat, I think we're ready."

The raven-haired person walked over to the two, nodding at their decisions. "We'll need to get you a few more things but I think I have some at home. Let's go pay, c'mon."

Clay looked at his board, smiling. It was pretty. He liked the contrast of the rainbow of colours on the bottom to the black grip-tape. Bat set it up so there was a single, thin line in the middle of the board that showed the naked, white woof. He liked it. Clay hadn't skated since his dad left and he missed it.

"Okay, don't die, don't go down any drops yet, just be safe." Bat said, "Any questions?"

The boys shook their head, watching as Bat stepped on the board and pushed off, going down a drop almost immediately.

Clay was the first to go, feeling confident with his old skills. George followed him, he caught on quickly. He must have helped Bat learn how to skate. It was fun. It was fun and Clay loved it. He loved the feeling of going down ramps and he loved the feeling of being in a skatepark again, this time without his father.

He loved it.

He loved it until his board caught a rock.

Clay fell on his side, his wheel coming loose, the board flying down a bowl.

"Clay? Are you alright?" Bat asked, running to Clay.

Clay wheezed, "Yeah I'm all good." he stood, looking down at the bowl. He slid down it, picking up the board and climbing back up. "I think my wheel is loose."

"Oh that's okay, easy fix." Bat took the skateboard out of Clay's hand going over to their backpack and pulling out some tools.

George walked over to the two, holding his board, "You can use mine, Pretty. It seemed like you were having fun." Clay smiled, taking the blue skateboard. George sat next to Bat.

"Thank you." and Clay was off again, going down ramps, trying tricks, anything he could remember how he could do it, he did it.

"Hey, give me his board." George said, not waiting for a response from Bat to take it out of their lap. "Do you have stickers or markers?"

Bat nodded, pulling out a bag of old stickers they got for their birthday years ago. There was a sharpie in the bag too. The brunet reached in the bag and pulled out the sharpie, colouring stars, hearts, his name, Clay's name, minecraft references, anything he could think of. He then took out some stickers, sticking them on the board. When he was done there was little space where the previous splatter paint stayed.

"Is he going to be okay with that?" Bat asked, taking the board back to fix the wheel.

"Probably not." George laughed.

Clay rode over to the siblings, kicking up the board, looking at his own. "George."

"Clay."

"What did you do."

"Are you blind? Can you not tell?" George held back a laugh.

Clay glared at the brunet, quickly reaching down to his back, pulling out a pocket knife, he shoved the knife in his pocket before taking off with the board.

"HEY!" George yelled, standing and running after Clay.

The blond threw the board over the fence, quickly jumping it.

"CLAY!" George yelled from inside the skate park, watching Clay as he sat on the grass and opened the pocket knife. The blond carved his name into the wood, carving a blocky heart next to it.

"There, see, not that bad." Clay smiled, showing the brunet his board, "Now whenever we skate we will be reminded of each other."

George flushed red, "Stop, you're so stupid. Oh my god."
