Chapter 7

Taylor's POV

I just sat there with Jay and we talked for what seemed like hours. Soon, I knew I had to go back home because it was getting late.

"Hey Jay, as much as I hate to admit it, I have to go home." I said.

"Ok, see you tomorrow." He said. I stood up and walked out of his room and down the stairs.

I walked out of his house and started walking home.

Just my luck.

Ricky was right in front of me.

He was walking towards me and I just froze. I couldn't move.

"Hey Taylor. I heard about your crush on Kian. Don't get too attached, it won't happen." He said.

"Trust me, I won't get attached. You all get on my nerves. Kian just has looks that can kill." I quickly covered my mouth realizing what I had said.

"Oh, you think he has looks that can kill, huh?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes. I didn't know what he had coming, but I knew it was bad. Ricky's bribes were known to be horrible. It could be anywhere from only doing his homework to who knows what.

"I happen to know he really likes you," He started, with that smirk on his face. My heart started to pound, even though he must be kidding. I mean, Kian would never like me. Would he? I don't think so..

"But we won't let him. It's against our code. Oh well, princess. You might get your prince someday, even though it won't be Kian. Also, you might not get a prince at all.." He said. I could feel tears coming, but I had to hold them in.

"Ricky, what did I ever do to you guys?! We used to be best friends until we started middle school! What the fuck happened during that summer?!" I yelled. I can't believe I stood up to Ricky. I- I felt so empowered. But not for long..

"Taylor, some people change. And I changed. I wasn't going to be friends with you anymore, you were just one of those stupid elementary friends you always forget about."

"But you didn't forget about me, you bullied me!"

"Whatever, we still won't let him date you, and that was the point. Unless, you do something." He smirked again.

"Fine.. What?" I said.

Regretful words, huh?
