Even when Langa and Miya started at the same time, Miya was already ahead. It didn't take long for them to disappear into nothingness as they skated down the course. A gust of wind was created by both of them as they went past the crowd of voices.

Like with the skaters, a car had appeared at the starting line. It was pink, small, with a few simple flowers painted on it. Inside was Shadow. It was quite the contrasting look for him. You wondered how such a big guy could even fit in a car like that too.

Reki was the one to go towards it, breaking into a run. It didn't matter if this was the car of a stranger, one that you didn't particularly like. You would have to follow him to avoid certain disaster. Really, do those boys care to think every once in awhile. That would make things much easier on your poor heart.

You opened the door to the back seat quickly, and got in just as Reki did. Shadow had not looked too happy about this, but you didn't care for his wellbeing anyways.

"Wait, why're you hopping in?!" he scolded you both.

"Follow those skaters," Reki didn't even look at him, only to where Miya and Langa were headed. That abandoned factory couldn't be far. You should be able to get there before they do and stop any sort of accident that could happen. That was place was dangerous after all, not somewhere for two young boys to have a race.

"This ain't no taxi, get out!" Shadow shouted.

"Straight ahead," Reki said.

"I know that!"

You didn't bother to put on a seatbelt as the car started up again and went to follow the skaters down the path. This was a bad idea, as you were knocked back a bit due to forces going against you.

They neared one of the turns as the car caught up to them. Langa did not hesitate to use one of the rocks to get ahead. He rode up it, doing an ollie, and flew through the air to land in front of Miya. You deducted that it was a snowboarding move that Langa remembered from his old days. It was probably the right way to go to shock Miya enough that he would hesitate on skating head. This gave him the chance to move on through the winding path.

"Hey! What's up with that board?" Shadow said. Luckily, his shock did not affect how he drove. Well, maybe a little bit since he was becoming more reckless. You refused to tell him, let alone look at him.

"I remodeled the wheels so the move in the direction Langa wants," Reki smirked.

"Are you insane?!" Shadow made a sharp turn, causing you to lose your balance and fall to the side. "You'd never go straight with that!"

"Yeah normally," Reki said. "But Langa's the only one that can ride a board that ridiculous." The window next to his seat opened, and he leaned his body out. "Nice going Reki-L2S!" he cheered for his own creation as if it were his child. You could see why Miya would call him a dog because of how he was acting. Most dogs would hang their heads out the window to take in the fresh air.

You grabbed onto his jacket, pulling him back down. "Don't do that, it's dangerous," you scolded.

Miya glanced behind him, holding back from saying something. He accelerated further to pass Langa. The boy looked even more annoyed, but by what? Reki didn't say anything particularly annoying.

"He can accelerate even further?!" Shadow's eyes were wide.

"Langa has something beyond that though!" Reki said.

It was then that Langa found a tree coming up on the path. Miya had already passed him at this point. Yet there was still enough time before the abandoned factory to get ahead. So, he took the opportunity to use it to turn on the pathway, and land right in front of the boy. It was only possible because of those damn wheels, as well as Langa's own recklessness.
