Reki had found that certain occasions meant certain ways [Name] looked. There was her neutral expression, which wasn't different than all the other quiet people he's met in life. Sometimes the twins would try and mimic it. Next there was when [Name] was frustrated and would puff up her cheeks. This happened when she couldn't quite get a set-up for a photo right. Reki would have to help with this by having to sit in the middle and not do anything. He didn't particularly like those kinds of tasks.
But now, Reki found a whole slew of expressions that were yet to be deciphered. None of them were positive.
It had been Reki's idea to go into Shadow's car without his permission. The man wasn't hard to locate, having a bright pink car did that kind of thing to you. And Reki was sure that Shadow would be upset with it.
Miya sat shotgun while Reki, Langa, and [Name] shared the backseat. All that needed to happen was waiting for Shadow to arrive. The reason for all of this was Miya deciding to teach Reki a few things for his upcoming beef with Adam. Getting to Crazy Rock was the hard part though.
Shadow entered the car at that moment. Reki wasn't sure if he noticed all of them yet since he was distracted by a woman outside. It was confirmed that all of them were seen when Shadow did a double take.
"Wait, you guys..." he said. His hair was smoothed down quite a bit. Although he was still very recognizable. It was still Shadow, just with different clothes.
"Take us to Crazy Rock old man Shadow!" Reki clapped his hands together, pleading him to accept the request. Well, they were all in the car already. So, Shadow didn't really have a choice.
"I'm still 24!" Shadow corrected. "And who is this 'Shadow' anyways."
"It is you, you're just wearing different clothes," [Name] said. It was probably the first time she's spoken words to him. Although, she wasn't looking at him. Her cheeks were puffed. Yeah, that was her frustrated expression.
"We're begging you," Reki grabbed Miya's head. "Miya doesn't have a helmet!"
"Like I care!" Shadow argued.
"Is something wrong Hiromi?" a woman called out from the door of the flower shop.
Shadow quickly poked his head out the window. There was a change in his pitch when he said nothing was wrong. Reki was sure he heard a completely different person. Shadow then popped back in to hear everyone convince him. Well, [Name] didn't say anything, not even bothering to look at him.
"Please!" Langa clapped his hands together.
"I'll tell that woman," Miya said, well, it was more like a threat. That's what got Shadow to crack and taxi everyone to Crazy Rock.
The drive was silent at first. Reki had his thoughts and curiosities centered on Adam for the past few days. He only saw him that one time, yet his features were burnt into his mind and had no intention of going away. Even with all of this, the want to skate against him did not waver. The way he acted so high and mighty was upsetting to Reki. And he wasn't going to pretend, he did not like the way he was talking to Langa, or [Name].
His want to know more about Adam led Reki to speak, "Miya? Have you skated against Adam before?"
"No," Miya said.
"How do you know him then?"
"I saw him while practicing awhile back," Miya said. "He gave me advice on my footing, and it was spot on. It was more accurate than anything my coaches said. Ever since then, Adam was showing up in front of me. That's how I got into S."
"Then that beef against me?" Langa's voice trailed off.
"He said it would be a good learning experience," Miya left it at that. "And although I've ever seen it, there's a rumored trick Adam has done. The 'Love Hug.' They say that he goes uphill."
