Same Day

Kendal was sitting in her room and watching tv, she just took her shower. She had on a over-sized shirt with some leggings and a long pair of white socks over the leggings. Kayden was in the living room and on his tablet and watching SpongeBob. Out of no where, there was a soft knock on the door. Kayden heard it and looked at the door "Who is it?" He yelled. "Your dad.." Kayden had ran upstairs and went into Kendal's room quickly. "What baby?" Kendal asked. "Daddy is here!" Kayden kind of said quietly. Kendal looked confused and they both went downstairs. She slowly opened the door and saw August standing there kind of smiling. Kendal and Kayden was just staring at him with straight faces. No smile, no wave, no anything.

"Y'all missed me?" He asked and smiled. Kayden walked off and got back on his tablet. Kendal ignored him and scratched her head. "What do you want August?" She asked him. "I wanted to come by and check on y'all. You know, after you punched the fuck out of Angel" He kind of laughed. Kendal smiled but you couldn't tell if she was smiling or anything. August walked in the house and was looking around "Like what you've done with the place.." He said. She faked smiled "Thanks.." He smacked his lips and looked at her "Why you acting like this?" He asked her. She scrunched up her face and kind of looked around "Acting like what? I always act like this" she spoke and walked into the kitchen. He followed and he sighed. "Do y'all even miss me?" He asked and grabbed the soda from Kendal. She shrugged and stared off somewhere. "Can I just get a simple yes or no" he said getting a little mad "No!" Kendal yelled out and went into her room. He followed once again and looked at her "What you mean by no?" Kendal rolled her eyes and sat on her bed "We don't miss you at all, you've been bitching these past few months. You talking to me like you crazy and shit. You disrespected me and your son, how you expect us to miss you but you act like you don't miss us and shit." She said and wiped the tears from her eyes. August smacked his lips again and looked at his phone. He looked back at Kendal and shook his head "Look baby.." He didn't finish his sentence. "Don't call me baby" Kendal said with an attitude . "Well look here Kendalynn, I don't have to show that I miss you and Kayden. I've loved you since I first saw you and-" He was cut off again by Kendal laughing. She was laughing and shaking her head "I don't want to hear that bullshit ass lie August. You know damn well you haven't thought about me and Kayden after we broke up. I had to tell you to come see your son, how you think that shit makes me feel? Huh? You just been acting a damn fool since we broke up. I just want you to come see him without me telling you, I want you to act like you love Kayden, I just want you to respect me for once August, just for one freaking once.." She said. August say there and stared at her. Kendal was upset as she thought of everything he has been doing. He pulled her close to him and hugged her, she began crying and was trying to pull away. "Look, I'm sorry.." He said quietly . "I'm sick of hearing I'm sorry!" She kind of yelled and pushed him away. He grabbed her hand and sat her down on the bed. "Let's just talk..."

Kayden was still staring at August, Kendal and August were downstairs after they had a talk that was about an hour and a few minutes . August was smiling at Kayden but Kayden was ignoring him. "You missed me Kayden?" August asked him. Kayden had his finger in his mouth and was all up under Kendal, he looked at Kendal and shrugged. August laughed at little and touch his arm "Nooooo" Kayden said as he moved over a little so August wouldn't touch him again. Kendal was looking at Kayden a little worried, it's kind of fucked up to her. Kayden doesn't even want August touching him or anything. Kendal just shook her head and got up from the couch and went into the kitchen. "Kayden, I'm still your daddy. Just come here" August said to Kayden. "Why?" Kayden asked. "Because I missed you little man, and I'm sorry that I haven't been coming by to see you and Mommy." Kayden got up and hugged August. August hugged him tight and was smiling "You love me?" He asked. Kayden nodded his head and still had his finger in his mouth. "Go talk to mama" Kayden said to him. "Alright, just go in your room. We'll be needing this living room" August said quietly and smirked as Kayden was running upstairs to his room...
