The war has lasted 40 years when there are no dragonets of destiny to come save the day, where the land has been soaked with the blood of hundreds and dragons come to suffer and go. One stood among them, who's ready to change, who's willing to bring what the queens failed to do. To bring justice into a new order

That dragon was named Winter... Commander winter

One of the most respected dragons they've ever seen. The bravest, battle-hardened commander that a queen could ever need. Only being the third highest-ranking which was fine, because he rather fights with his men and ladies than sit in the back.

He's ruthless, intelligent, skilled and loyal to the army at a very young age. Leading hundreds of soldiers into battle, as he was in front. Being the reason why they've won so many battles

He was not like the others...

Winter was different, he was a leader, and he's friendly to others. And was a figure to many dragons outside his tribe that looks up to him... He was perfect

But he hadn't always...

As a child, he would be severely punished by his very cruel parents. Either for not being good enough like her sister or his lost brother from the war, or just putting their anger on the innocent dragonet.

He never stood against them, as he always lived in fear of stepping out of line. Because if he does, bad things will come from his parents... And he doesn't want to be punished

It got so bad their punishments went so far that winter had to stay far, far away from the palace for days. In Blizzards that last for months, that rips leaves off their trees and could freeze an icewing to death. Almost causing his, their own son's death!

But he couldn't do anything about it because his father is royal, and everyone believes royals are good, and never wrong. And if they even point it out they will be set down a circle, so they avoided him to avoid going down

That's why winter spent most of his days. Alone, in the cold blizzards, with a bunch of useless scrolls hanging in his bag just in case he needed them to make a fire. If he could

But without them, he wouldn't survive a chance against the other tribes

To survive, he hides in his hideout in a very small cave. With ropes all around the place in case if he was sucked in the air. It's not much but if it works against the blizzard outside his doorstep. And that's all he needed to survive

As days, sometimes even months went by. All winter could do is read, reading a lot of scrolls. Mostly strategy and arts of war or anything that could help him in his darkest time where ice became his enemy

His favourites scrolls were fairy tales that he reads to himself until he's sound asleep, to give him imaginations and dreams to pass the time

Not the ones that coral makes, because most of her scrolls are exaggerated, and full of lies, and forced to be like to the point it's dislikeable. No, no. He likes the other real fairy tales, about warriors doing the right thing not only for his dragons but others too. One day he'll be one of them, to be those dragons. And he'll dream in the cold until he's asleep

It was a slow process, hard and confusing at times of struggle, to keep from unfreezing

But it did, for now

Each time he was punished and was sent out in the wild. He'll grow, train and learn more than his parents gave him.

Time passes as the world forces him to change into a different dragon. And so would he.

All his life he was told they were the greatest tribe to ever exist because they were the first tribe to have an animus that they could control successfully.
