A year later.........
Vicky was helping Young-Chul to load the boxes into the truck, since all of them were scheduled to arrive at Busan this evening as part of their charity assistance to flood victims. She finally found her strength after Suga recommended she should go for psychiatric treatment. Even if it was hard for her the first time, Suga and Namjoon didn't stop to give her moral support and her counseling session went so well as time went by. They never stopped comforting her whenever and every time her anxiety was striking.
Suga also motivated her to get involved in charity work, as it could benefit to protect her mental and physical health besides helping communities in need.
"So, Vicky, what are you up to after this?" Young-chul asked her as they walked together into the building.
"Mrs. Jenny would like to meet me, she wants to discuss the book fair," she said in amusement.
"Oh... So, will you have an opportunity to publish your book?" he asked again.
"I hope so. Mrs. Jenny said the editor had not given any answer to my application for now,"
"Don't worry. You wrote a great story and I'm sure they'll love it. Don't lose hope," he encouraged her.Young-chul was one of the volunteers who was working at the shelter. He was one of the juvenile delinquents and a friend of Suga and Namjoon. Young-chul was sentenced as a juvenile because of his own mistakes. He joined the bullies and the principal caught them smoking and drinking alcohol in the hostel. According to Young-chul, Suga was a quiet person, and he had no friends. Suga was sent to the juvenile because of stealing money from the school canteen. But it was not his fault, he was forced to do it by the bullies. He pleaded guilty to the charge just to escape from the bullies. A dissimilarity to Namjoon's case, who was incarcerated a few months later for brutally beating up his stepfather in order to protect his mother from being abused. From that day on, they became good friends.
After they had completed the detention period, the three worked as waiters in a nightclub. But with some hidden talents, Namjoon and Suga started as performers and then took over the entire business when the owner was murdered. Young-chul took his own path, he quit his job as a waiter and with money that they gave him, he opened a book cafe.
Vicky never expected that both of them had such horrible memories of their teenage life, but at the same time, she was impressed by their courage and willingness to go on with life.
Suga had promised to pick her up around five in the evening, and when he arrived, he saw she was sitting together with a bunch of teenagers from the shelter in the garden. She looked so happy talking to them. Suga quietly watched as she interacted with the teenagers. Watching her smile and laugh, made him almost forget about the emotional, tear-filled, blabbering mess she was before.
Exactly at that moment, she was the Vicky that Yoongi knew. She was a poised, elegant and heartwarming person. She was the woman that he fell in love with. He really was grateful that she was finally recovering from her illness. She was a strong woman, a survivor.
"Oh unnie... Your boyfriend is waiting for you, over there," one of the teenagers told her as she pointed at Suga, who was standing at the gate. She looked at him and waved her hand.
"It's time for me to go now," she informed them.
"Unnie, you are so lucky to have such a handsome boyfriend like Suga hyung. He is a very nice man," the other girl said.
"And rich. I wish I could have a boyfriend like him,"Vicky admitted that Suga does have a charming aura and he was the man of every girl's dream.
"But you have to be pretty as unnie," they laughed. Vicky blushed at their compliments.
"Okay girls, see you next week. Don't forget to finish the task I have given to you, okay?"
"Okay unnie. Goodbye,""Ready to leave?" Suga asked when she approached him by the car.
She nodded and smiled sweetly at him. He opened the door for her to climb into the passenger seat. When he climbed in on the driver's side, she couldn't help but stare at how gorgeous he was. He had a perfect styled black hair with bangs that almost covered his droopy eyes, and his ears were ornamented with various piercings. The whole image was completed with his boopable nose and perfect kissable lips. She stopped herself from staring when she reached his lips and looked away, but he caught her. He buckled his seat belt and started the engine, but the car was not moving.
"What are we waiting for?" she asked, confused.
He moved closer to her, her cheeks started to burn as their faces were just a few inches away from each other.
"I can't drive until you buckle your seat belt," he cracked, making her cough as she forced a smile.
"I'm sorry...," she said as she turned away from him.
"It's okay to stare, but don't forget about your safety," he chuckled.
"So how was your day?" he asked again after a few minutes of death silence.
"Everything was good. We have sent food supplies to Busan. I also had a discussion with Mrs. Jenny about the book fair, and a few activities I want to do with the kids," she explained in excitement."It's so good to hear that. And I'm happy to see you happy like this," he said as he gave her a side glance while driving.
"Thank you so much for helping me," she expressed her sincere gratitude to him.
"You don't need to thank me. I just do what a boyfriend should do," he said with a corny laugh, that put her at a loss of words.
