SOME days later, Sagittaria was still trying to settle into the new house, by watching TV in the living room. She had been in the new neighborhood for about a hundred forty four hours, and Sagittaria couldn't say it had been easy so far; especially considering that what she needed the most at that moment was a friend or two, and she didn't have a single one. But what Sagittaria didn't know was that in this neighborhood she would make a great friend, one that in some time could become something more.
Just at that moment, a tall slim black-haired girl opened the front door without knocking, and simply came in, taking Sagittaria by surprise.
''Sagi, hi. Tell me, where's your sister?'' The girl tenderly asked, walking towards the younger one.
''Hey, sorry, who are you? How do you know my name?'' Sagittaria asked with confusion.
''Don't you remember me?'' Dovima asked, laughing.
Right then, Sagittaria's older sister, Ivana, came out from hallway, and headed into the living room to greet Dovima.
''Ignore her, Dovima. I told you yesterday my sister was kind of stupid.'' Ivana said, as she walked with her hands on her hips, while Sagittaria shot her with her eyes.
''C'mon, let's go do something else together.'' Ivana said, grabbing her friend's hand, but Dovima managed to get out of her grip.
''I think I'd rather stay here to play with your sister.'' Dovima confessed, turning to Sagittaria, who turned as red as a beetroot.
''What are you saying? Let's go now, Dovima.'' Ivana insisted.
''Dude, no! You leave if you want, but I'll stay with Sagittaria. '' Dovima answered, determined. As a response to that, Ivana just sighed and rolled her eyes, as she sat down next to the other two.
''You know, I don't understand why your sister gets so mad about me wanting to stay here — if you're such a cute little girl...'' Dovima said, pinching one of Sagittaria's chubby cheeks.
''Don't get used to her sweetness, little sister. Dovima is such a mean girl.'' Ivana pointed out, arms crossed, making Dovima roll her eyes as she laughed.
''Girl, why don't you shut up already? — Can't you see you're confusing her?''
''But I'm only speaking the truth! Or isn't the aggressive Dovima Nurmi the one who always gets in trouble?'' Ivana continued to tease her friend, while Sagittaria looked on in amazement.
''That's like oranges and apples — I'm mean to everyone else because I don't care; but it's that a beauty like Sagi has to be treated like a queen. '' Dovima continued, while her friend looked at her with a disapproving face.
''Let's see — Sagi, do I have a mean face?'' Dovima asked, staring into the little girl's eyes.
''Hmm, no — I would never lend my toys to a mean person.'' Sagittaria replied with a smile, as she handed the black-haired girl a stuffed animal.
''Wow, how cool! See, Ivana? Your sister trusts me.'' Dovima said, teasing her friend, while continuing to smile at the girl, which she obviously did in a friendly way, but Sagittaria couldn't help but blush, and feel ten billion butterflies fluttering through her stomach.
Neither Sagittaria nor Dovima had realized this yet, but they both shared a great trait, characteristic of their two personalities — even if they didn't coincide on anything else, both had been cold and distant, almost arrogant with everyone since forever; but once they got to know each other, Sagittaria became the first person Dovima had ever dealt with with such patience and compassion; and Dovima became Sagittaria's first love.
