THE days slowly progressed, and so did Sagittaria's burning love for Dovima Nurmi; however, so did her absolute bewilderment and uncertainty on the topic. On the one hand, Sagittaria wanted nothing more than to throw herself into Dovima's loving arms, and hug her and kiss her for all eternity; but on the other hand, she didn't want to wait another day until Dovima confessed her love. And, thus, for obvious reasons, having Sagittaria make the first move was utterly unthinkable for her, as she just couldn't imagine herself ever having the courage to be the first to confess her love to Dovima; and yet still, Sagittaria didn't want Dovima to let her be the last to know.
It was a sunny day, and while other kids got to play outside, Sagittaria had no choice but to stay inside, studying in her living room. The blonde always studied alone, for a number of reasons — among them because she didn't have many friends who wanted to join her, and it was easy to distract her; but the main reason for that Sagittaria had and would never join a study group was because she had to wear her big, unflattering glasses everytime she studied, and she'd never, ever allow anyone see her with them.
''Little sister, listen to me. Dovima's coming over, but I have to go to the store to pick up something before she arrives; so, if she arrives before me, you're gonna have to let her in, and greet her.'' Ivana said to her sister, as she quickly fixed her outfit, and grabbed a green cloth bag. Sagittaria just nodded.
No one other than her family had ever seen Sagittaria with her glasses on, as she had put great effort in only putting them on when nobody was around, doing things like putting on wearing contact lenses for school, no matter how painfully uncomfortable they were. But today, that was about to change. Sagittaria had her earphones plugged in, with soft romantic ballads blasting into her ears, and she was entirely focused, as she perused her history textbook; thus, she clearly didn't hear Dovima knock one, two, three times, before she finally gave up, and simply opened the door.
''Ivana, you're a bitch. Nobody lets me in, and you have me here under this fucking sun that's melt...'' Dovima walked in complaining, but was in utter shock to see Sagittaria, but not Ivana.
''Hi Sagi! Your sister's not here?'' Dovima quickly asked, trying to mend what she had just done.
''Mm, no, she went out to the store; but I'm sure she'll be back in a bit. She also told me to open the door for you if you arrived before her, but I must've not heard you knocking because of my music. Sorry about that.'' Sagittaria explained, as she took her earphones off.
''That's okay, Sagi. I don't mind spending some time with you 'till your sister comes home.'' Dovima softly said, as she sat on the couch, diagonally next to Sagittaria, who sat on the floor.
''Oh, yeah, me neither... whatever.'' Sagittaria babbled nonsense, causing Dovima to laugh, and her to blush.
''So, how has school being going?''
''Oh, everything's fine... I'm sure you passed all the topics I'm seeing with such ease.''
''Yeah, and I bet you'd be able to do all the exercises on the intricate topics I'm seeing, 'cause you're such a smart girl; but that's not what I'm asking you, Sagi. How's everything with the boys, and your friends...'' Dovima explained.
''Oh, well... I don't have either of those.'' Sagittaria awkwardly replied, and chuckled.
''And I don't even understand how! You're so pretty, smart, and generous... And you look adorable with your glasses! How come I had never seen you with them before?'' Dovima asked, petting Sagittaria's cheek, which was, after Dovima said that, intensely scarlet.
''Oh, shit, I forgot to take them off!'' Sagittaria thought, but she still didn't bother to take them off. She didn't care anymore, because Dovima liked them — Dovima Nurmi, Sagittaria's main love interest, thought she looked adorable!
''Thank you, Dovi.'' Sagittaria shyly said, turning around, and putting her hands one on top of the other on Dovima's thighs, as Dovima put hers on top of the blonde's.
''You're welcome, angel.'' Dovima friendly said, as she reached for Sagittaria's hand, squeezed it, and wrapped their hands with Dovima's other hand, while the two stared deeply into each other's eyes.
''Okay, Sagi, I'm he... Aw, look at that — looks like the two love bugs met!'' Ivana said, signaling to the two girls holding hands, causing both of them to blush.
''What are you waiting for, little sister? Go, go, hurry up!'' Ivana said, kicking her sister out of the room, and Sagittaria got up reluctantly.
As Sagittaria headed to her room, she pondered, and couldn't help but wonder if her sister, Ivana was slowly trying to steal her crush from her. Whether she had true feelings for her, or was just trying to spite the blonde, she was beginning to consider the possibility Ivana didn't want to see Sagittaria and Dovima together. And just the thought of that made Sagittaria's blood boil.
