DEAR FUTURE LOVER

STARSTRUCK (9)

- ' I'm telling you...there is something between hyung and Namjoon hyung. '
- ' But Tae...how can you be so sure? '
- ' I've seen it Chim. The way Joon hyung gets lost in hyung's eyes...the way he always blushes when hyung smiles at him..it's a definite thing. '

Jungkook looked at Jimin and Jimin looked back. Both had no idea about this.
- ' So...what do you want to do about this? '
- ' We have to be sure Kookie. Otherwise, we can't do anything. '
- ' And how we can be sure about that? '
Taehyung gave his iconic smirk and said
- ' I do have a plan for that. '

After a few days, as the result of this master plan.... Namjoon and Jin ended up in a cafe because three of the boys suddenly wanted to 'hang out' with their hyungs.

But the actual 'plan' started when three of them got phone calls at the same times and went outside, leaving the elders alone - thanks to Lisa and Chaeyoung for their participation.

Well...they almost left, because they were right outside the cafe and watching them through glass walls.

Jin ordered one iced coffee mocha and Namjoon went for one black coffee as they started talking about this and that untill Namjoon got a call from his publisher.

- ' Sorry, it was my publisher. '
Namjoon said with a apologetic smile and Seokjin replied with wide eyes
- ' Publisher? You're a...writer or what? '
Namjoon smiled sheepishly
- ' Uh...yeah..sort of. '
- ' But you never told me! ' Seokjin whined and Namjoon couldn’t hold back his smile
- ' You never asked...but..sorry. '
- ' Hey, what do you write about? '
Jin asked with excitement
- ' Mainly, romantic novels...but I do have some literary fictions, short stories and poetries. '
- ' Woooow! That's... great... like... incredible  man! You're a genius. '
Namjoon couldn’t take compliments... especially when it comes from Jin. So he started blushing lightly
- ' It's...not a big deal...though.. '
- ' It IS a big deal. It's a damn big deal. Wow! I still can't believe a  novelist is my friend. '
Jin stopped and admired the fact for a moment, then added
- ' Now hurry up and tell me the names of your books. I need to read them. '
Namjoon leaned back on his chair and said while looking at a distance
- ' Well..there are more than 20 books.. but if you ask me... I have some favourites. '
- ' Yeah yeah...what are they? '
- ' I loved writing "Dance in the pain" and "When moon rise". "Is this love" and "We were always meant to be" are two of the bestsellers. I can relate with " I just wanna fly ". But... "Wishing for you" holds a special place in my heart. '

After not getting any reaction, Namjoon looked at Jin...but his expression made him  confused. Jin was stunned and was looking at Namjoon with admiring eyes.
- 'Uh..Jin? You okay? '
Namjoon was losing his patience as Seokjin didn’t say a word and kept looking at him with shocked expression.

After what felt like an eternity to Namjoon, Jin finally talked...more like mumbled
- ' You..you are...K.N.J? '
Namjoon replied confusedly
- ' Yeah...?'

Jin closed his eyes and put his head into his hands...as if trying to hold back his overflowing emotions, making Namjoon panic.
- ' Jin, what's wrong? Are you not feeling well? What is the problem? Tell me I ca-'
- ' Wow! '
Jin looked up at Namjoon and continued
- ' Listen....listen to this carefully. I... I don’t know if I can say all of this later. So...just listen. '
Namjoon nodded slowly and Jin took a deep breath 
- ' First, I'm your big big BIG fan... like huge fan...and I've read almost every single novel of yours. And second, I've  always dreamt about meeting you someday. I just...uh... I can't explain it. I just love your writing style, plots, characters...and I love everything about your books and I've always wanted my life to be like one of your books. Although I still can't believe this is actually happening with me, but still I wanna say... Thank you. Thank you for writing those true gems. Your books are like my safe place...you know, whenever I feel stressed, worried or sad, I read your books and instantly I become happy. You can't even imagine what is your place in my life K.N.J.... I really really love your works  and currently I'm reading your last novel, " Wishing for you ". That's a true classic work. I.. I just... I'm overwhelmed right now... I..'

With that, Jin finally stopped because he was out of words. This whole incident felt like a dream to him. He still can't believe that his favourite author is sitting infront of him and is his friend.

And so was Namjoon's situation. He still can't believe his highschool crush, and the one and only crush  of his life is a reader of his books and said this whole big paragraph for him and him only.

Both stared at each other with admiration, warmth, affection and awe in their eyes.

Sometimes, life is full of surprises I guess 😉
