Seokjin's alarm started ringing and he opened his eyes lazily. He took his phone from his bedside table and saw the time. 6 am. Well, this was Saturday and he's on a work off...but he got up smilingly. Yesterday was pretty fun but the whole day he and Namjoon have spent outside..so both of them were a bit tired. That's why they thought about staying in today... but staying in can be fun, too! This is why Seokjin invited Namjoon for having breakfast with him, and today, Seokjin planned everything. He believes that life can be enjoyed in a simple way, too.....you don't need to do a lot to have fun.
He quickly got ready and went to kitchen to make some delicious breakfast before Namjoon arrives.
The bell rang at 8.30. Jin was done with the cooking, so he opened the door with a huge grin and immediately the smells of freshly made pancakes and toasts greeted Namjoon.
- ' Wow! What you've made Jin? It smells delicious. '
Namjoon astonishingly said and Seokjin replied with a soft smile
- ' A good breakfast is a good start for the day. Now, come on, wash your hands and sit down. '
Namjoon was overly happy when Jin served him freshly made cinnamon pancakes and crispy egg toasts with berry and yogurt smoothie. He's not good at cooking, so mainly he lives on takeouts and sometimes Hoseok helps him with cooking. He almost forgot how homemade food tastes like, as his mother lives in Ilsan...not in Seoul. But this dishes tasted exactly like his mother used to make.
He was lost in thoughts but came back in reality when he heard Jin's voice
- ' So...is it okay? Is there any problems? If yes, you can tell me...I mean...you look like you don’t like it..'
Namjoon hurriedly shook his head
- ' Oh no no no...definitely not that. It’s just...so amazing that it reminded me of my mother. She's a great chef just like you. I love every bit of it. Seriously Jin...you have magic in your hands! It tastes like heaven. I'm so so soo happy that you invited me for this amazing meal. Really, it’s that good and I mean it. '
Jin was totally swept away by Namjoon's words. Usually, he's not the type who'll get flustered easily...but the sparkle in Namjoon's eyes and the warmth in voice somehow touched his soul. For a moment, he couldn’t reply...then finally he said
- ' Th...thank you Joon. This..means a lot. '
Both of them happily chatted away while enjoying the delicious meal.
A good food is indeed a wonderful experience.
The day has started well..let's see how it ends in the next chapter!
