Day 213 -
The highway is long. Billy, Wheeler, and Jim are almost in North Carolina. It's night.
"We're almost there," Billy remarked as he drove.
"Yes," Jim said, "Yes we are."
"So," Wheeler said, "Let me get this straight."
"Mm," Jim said.
"We kidnap your wife and daughter," Wheeler said, "We help you do what needs to be done to them and then throw their body into the river and leave."
"Not exactly,"
"Can you walk us through that?"
"We shoot and kill my ex first," Billy said.
"Okay,"
"That's key,"
"Okay,"
"And anyone else who sees what happens will have to get shot too," Billy said, "We'll need to make sure they die too."
"Facts,"
"Bet,"
"We kidnap Hayley, at gunpoint," Billy said, "She rides back to Maryland with us."
"Fun," Wheeler said.
"I already have a secret room where we'll keep her," Billy said.
"And we won't get in trouble, right?"
"If anything falls through, I kill Hayley and deny to the police that I had help," Billy said.
