Before I start this chapter I would like to say this is based completely off my own experience- this being said Y/n does have type one diabetes similar to me in this chapter. Like event by event was basically my experience apart from dating Sebastian and after the game. I also changed the characters names, such as people we interacted with and stuff.
Is this a likely thing a WAG would do for a player: no
And I still going to do it: yes

Anyway enjoy.

Future me updating- this chapter starts off kinda bland and step by step. I'm working to add in more personality as things get started.

It was round 2 game 4 in the Stanley cup playoffs. My boyfriend Sebastian was playing in Tampa. After seeing Tampa lead the series me and Kylie, Jacob Slavin's wife (she's replacing who I actually went with), decided to road trip up to Tampa for a game. Seeing how they won on Thursday we had good hopes for the game. This was a kind last minute decision, leaving only days to prepare, but she was able to find a babysitter and we were able to buy tickets. Sure the tickets weren't great due to our late purchase, but they'd do. These boys were also aware of our plan to come up.

We both took the same car up to Tampa on Friday, driving the full 9 1/2 hours. We vibed to music, talked about many different things, and talked about other teams in the NHL and WNHL. We arrived at our hotel around 10pm and called it a night soon after texting the boys that we made it and settling in.

(Some things didn't go so perfect with my trip and that night - reaction to my vaccine- but we'll skip over that)

The next morning I woke up at 11 ish and saw Kylie already up on her phone.
"I'm hungry," was the first thing that left my mouth when I was awake enough to speak. Kylie laughed.
"Same I woke up not to long ago. The River walk is right by here we could go see what we could eat from there?" She offered. I nodded and allowed her to shower before me. When she was out I went into the bathroom and we got ready without problems.

We both decided to wear something comfy (shorts and a t shirt) so the sweat we were mostly likely to be covered in wouldn't stink up our clothes for later and we could stay cooler now.
"Ready?" I ask.
"Ready," she responded. We both grabbed one of the rooms keys to make sure we had one with us and made sure our stuff was in my backpack, if I'm gonna have to carry it around anyway I'll at least be helpful to my friends.

"Let me tell you I could've never move here," I complain, fanning my shirt out from my body.
"Me either. I was made for the cold," she adds. We both miserably laugh. The last few restaurants we tried were all outside and with long waits. We decided to sit down and look on our phones for somewhere.
"Hey there's this place called Hattrick wanna go?," I ask looking up from the google page displaying their stuff (I should get credit for the promotion 😂).
"Very on brand for our day," she joked. We both laughed as I pulled up the directions to the place.

The relief I felt when the ac hit my body at the front door was astronomical (Idk why but I can't stand that sentence but I don't wanna delete it).
"Table for 2 please," Kylie said as we walked up to the hostess.
"Right this way," she said. We followed her through the crowded, blue dominated, tables to our own. It was by a wall but still surrounded on the other sides.
"Thank god we didn't wear our game clothes yet," Kylie whispers. I laugh loudly at her statement, nodding to signify I agree. We fell into silence while we figured out what we wanted.
"Hello I'm Stella and I'll be taking care of you today. What can I get started to drink?" She asks pulling out a notepad.
"I'll have a water and I wanna try the Harbor Island iced tea please," Kylie orders.
"And I'll have a water and the Lighting Lemonade," I finish. She nodded and walked off to put our drink order in.
"Wow ordering the enemy," Kylie teased.
"It looked good," I defended, "Germany against Finland who you got?" She turned her attention to one of the many TVs in the restaurant, this one playing the hockey game.
"Finland. I assume same for you?" She raised her eyebrows.
"Well I have always cheered on Finland because of my grandad. It's because of him that we flew all the way there and I got Sebastian to sign my jersey after a game," I said.
"Wait really?" She asks shocked.
"Yea," I laughed at her reaction.
"Is that how y'all met?"
"Not really. Yes we met and he signed my jersey but by the time we met again, when Rob invited me to come see a game, he forgot and I probably would've too if I didn't idolize him for years."
"How do you know Rob again?"
"He was close with my dad," I answered.
"Ohh ok," Kylie nodded.
"Here are your drinks. Sorry it took a little while, are we ready to order?" Our waitress asks.
"Yes I would like Hattricks BLT," I had her my menu.
"Can I get the Asian Chicken Salad," Kylie handed her menu over.
"Of course I'll have those out soon," she said walking away to place our food order in.
"Back to that Finland game, he really signed your jersey?"
"Yes Ky he really did. I still have it too in the back of our closet too," I laughed at her disbelief.
"And he doesn't remember?"
"Nope."
"Well then," she laughed.
"How's Emmy? I haven't seen her in awhile?"
"She's good, talking more, getting more active. You've gotta come over again at some point she'll love it!"
