Confession

Your time had finally arrived. After Polnareff had an incident with an enemy Stand (luckily making it out alive), Jotaro and Kakyoin went with Anne to get tickets for a train to India. If you didn't do it now, you never would. You gave yourself some last few words of encouragement, and headed towards Jotaro and Kakyoin's room. One last big sigh, and you knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Kakyoin asked.

"It's me, (Y/N)," you replied. The door popped open.

"Oh. Hey, (Y/N)," Kakyoin said. "What's up?"

Oh, no. Your feelings were starting to fester up again.

"I was thinking of maybe talking to you about something on my mind." Your voice was so shaky and quiet. How had he not noticed?

"Oh, of course!" Kakyoin gestured you in. "Jotaro left without me, so feel free to discuss it in here."

After you had sat down in a chair and made yourself comfortable, Kakyoin started talking. "So, what is it that you need to tell me?"

"Oh, um, well," you started stuttering. "You see, I, well, I, I really, um,"

"Are you okay?" Kakyoin asked. "Is something wrong? Are you having a panic attack? Do I need to call an ambu-"

"I love you!" You didn't mean to yell that loud. "I love you," this time quieter. "I love you. A lot. A whole lot, Kakyoin."

Suddenly, Kakyoin sighed with relief. "Oh, thank goodness, I don't have to tell you!"

"What?" What did he mean by that? Who was forcing him to tell you that?

"You see, Avdol and Polnareff-"

"Oh, they told you about the confessing in Singapore or they confess for you, too?" you asked.

"Wait, they pulled that on you, too?"

As it turns out, both of you had been too nervous to confess your feelings to the other, but it was so plainly obvious as to what was going on that Avdol and Polnareff made a plan that either one of you was going to confess to the other, or they'd reveal it for you. Their plan was flawless in every way.

"So, uh, I'm guessing we're together now?" you asked, to which Kakyoin responded with a little peck on the forehead.

"Yeah, I'd be okay with that."

Goodness gracious, if you thought you had blushed hard when Polnareff found out about all of this, you hadn't seen anything. Your cheeks were practically burning up. But, unlike the last time, this time you were filled with joy. So much joy. It was crazy how much happiness you felt from that tiny kiss. You were so giddy, it was hard to think. So hard to think, in fact, you didn't even think twice before pulling Kakyoin's lips right into yours. That kiss only lasted about five seconds, but it was the best five seconds of your life.

"(Y/N)!" You heard Avdol's voice outside the door. "(Y/N)! Where are you?"

"I'm right here, Avdol," you opened up the door. "Everything's fine."

"We figured out about you and Polnareff's little scheme," Kakyoin said. "It's crazy how well it worked."

"(Y/N), look out!" Avdol hid you behind him. "We don't know if that's the real Kakyoin or not. A Stand user has made himself look exactly like Kakyoin."

"Sorry to interrupt, Avdol," you replied, "but if that isn't the real Kakyoin, then why hasn't he tried to kill me already? I got close enough in stabbing range."

"It's true," Kakyoin commented. "If I were the enemy, I would have tried to kill her while she was kissing me, since she'd be completely off guard."

Avdol nodded. "Fair point. Well, I guess there's also the fact that Anne called us, telling us about our dilemma, so that means that this must be the real Kakyoin."

"Oh, that kiss was real, all right," you muttered. The three of you walked back to Joseph and Avdol's hotel room, where Polnareff and Joseph were waiting. On the way, Avdol had realized what you said.

"Wait, you kissed?"

You responded with a simple, "Yeh." You didn't even have enough in you to make a full yeah. You always got super shy when you were super happy. Finally, you had arrived at the hotel room.

"So, is this the real Kakyoin?" Joseph asked.

"There's no doubt," Avdol reassured him. "He is our Kakyoin."

"Well, he's my Kakyoin now," you said sheepishly, earning an arm around your waist.

"Ooooh, does that mean what I think it means?" Polnareff was acting like a grade-school girl who had figured out her friend's secret crush.

Kakyoin kissed you on the cheek. "Does that answer your question?"

You hid your face underneath your shirt, as if that would conceal the squealing going on underneath.

"Ah, it does! So, who confessed to who?"

"(Y/N) did," Kakyoin answered. "And she was very sweet when she did."

At this point, you knew he was sweet talking to make you blush, even if your shirt covered it up.

Once everything had been sorted out with the enemy Stand user, and Jotaro and Anne made it out safe and sound, you were on the train, on your way to India. On the way there, it was hard to keep your eyes open, and you were constantly yawning.

"Nobody said you had to stay awake," Kakyoin said.

"Hm?" You were super tired, so it was starting to become hard to decipher human speech. So, instead of saying it again, Kakyoin gently pulled your head onto his shoulder.

"You're allowed to sleep, you know."

"But I want to..." you tried to object, but there was something about his shoulder, whether it was the warmth from his body, the softness of his clothes, or just the comforting sense of security radiating from him, that made it even harder to pull out of your sleepy state. "Stay... awake..."

Eventually, your body couldn't take it anymore, and you closed your eyes, drifting off to sleep, while Kakyoin ran his fingers through your hair. Today had been a very good day.
