I was sitting at the bar admiring my glass half full of bourbon, clinking the ice side to side. while the jazz music played in the background. This was my favorite bar to frequent after a long day's work. I loved to get all dolled up, put on a tight black dress, let my curly long hair down, with a great pair of stilettos. I got to be a different person on nights like these, the rest of the world didn't matter. I finished my drink it was time to go, I called my self a cab. Walking through the crowd I feel a hand on my waist pull me in, leaving so soon sweet cheeks? the man was drunk I could smell the whisky on his breath. I shoved him off me, but he came up again to grab me. I quickly elbowed him in the face, and he stumbled backwards. 'You bitch", he screamed as he came after me again, he cocked back his fist and just as I prepared to block, someone else's fist blocked it. A deep masculine voice spoke, disappear, and gave this stern look that could have killed. He was a tall man about six foot five well built, short black hair with green eyes. The drunk guy took the hint and stumbled off. Thank you, I say as I turn and leave. I expect the good-looking stranger to stop me, but he doesn't. I continue my way home, once home I kick off my shoes and wash the smell of cigars and booze off my body, tomorrow was a new day.
