With nothing to go on, our case was going cold and fast. I wanted to talk to the second victim's family, they were going to be here in an hour. I had one of the guys from my squad notify the family. He was bringing them in after they had some time to calm down, I heard they took it hard. Of course, they did their daughter had been murdered. I set up the interrogation room with coffee, water, and some breakfast pastries. Chief, I heard Anderson say from behind me this is Mr. and Mrs. White. Hello Mr. and Mrs. White please have a seat, Can I get you anything? No, thank you I heard Mrs. White say for them both. My name is Gabriella Hernandez I am the station chief. I would like to ask you a few questions regarding your daughter. Had Angelina met anyone knew, maybe someone who was from out of town recently? No, not that we knew of Mrs. White said. Had Angelina been having any problems with anyone, co-worker, classmate, neighbors, friends? No, our daughter was loved by everyone said Mrs. White. Out of the corner of my eye I see Mr. White shifting in his seat. Mr. White is there anything that you would like to add? I'm not sure but, I think Angelina was having problems with her boyfriend. What boyfriend!? said Mrs. White, how long has this been going on? A couple months said Mr. White she wasn't ready to tell you because she wasn't sure how serious it was, I accidently found out when I heard her talking on the phone to him. I think his name is Antonio, Antonio Sanchez. I took out my cell phone and texted Anderson to bring in Antonio Sanchez for questioning. Alright that is all the questions I have for now but, please do not leave town I might have more questions. Thank you, officer please find, who did this to our daughter Mr. White said. Mr. and Mrs. White left the station looking exhausted I hoped that I could give them the closure they so desperately were looking for.
Hey chief, I have officers out looking for Sanchez he wasn't at home, they are checking his job his parents said, they haven't seen him since last night but, he works the night shift at the laundry mat in town and sometimes doesn't come home right after work. Alright keep me posted. With time to kill I updated all my paperwork and decided to go and grab some lunch. Hey Anderson, I'm going out for lunch, but I will have my phone on me, keep me updated. I quickly changed into street clothes and slipped out the back before anyone could see me, I knew what I needed a little escape to the city, just for a few hours to clear my head. This case was waying heavy on me two girls who supposedly didn't know each other or run in the same crowds just show up dead. How could this be? I Had changed into leggings, and a tank top with a leather jacket over it. I let my hair down and it felt so good. The city spoke to me it called me. I loved my job and my town, but the city always felt like home. I stopped at this little café and ordered a sandwich, with fries, and a coffee, black. I sat down outside to enjoy the weather with my food. Halfway through my food I hear a voice say excuse me ma'am I look up and to my surprise it is Mr. tall dark and handsome from the bar the other night. I know you, don't I we met at the bar the other night? I speak. Yes, he says with a smirk this man was gorgeous and he knew it. I didn't get a chance to ask your name. Ella, I say nice to meet you, shaking his hand. Before I could ask him what his name was, my phone rang. Go ahead I say, Chief you better get back here, we found the Sanchez kid, dead behind his parents' house Zeus says. I'm on my way I say standing up, I hang up the phone it was nice to meet you, but I must run. With that I started running to my car, maybe I'll see him again.
