Litha is the celebration of midsummers day. In the Northern Hemisphere, Litha can range from the 19th to 23rd June. In the Southern Hemisphere, Litha can range from the 20th to 22nd December. Becasue the date of Litha changes (for all Hemispheres) each year, check when it is next!
Some things you can do to celebrate Litha include:
- Bonfires (jump over for good luck)
- Singing and dancing
- Feast (herbal lemon cookies, fruit salad and honey lavender biscotti)
- May pole dance (can only really be done with multiple people)
- Citrine is a stone used for Litha
- Flower crowns
- Celebration of the sun
- Use herbs and wood that represent the sun
