Kaida POV
The screaming having stopped completely, as I try to push against the door again. The weight behind it to heavy for me to move, the icy air cutting against my skin. As the rubble around me continues to fall,
"Help! Please, I'm trapped!"
The darkness starting to play it's usual tricks on my mind as my heart thumps loudly in my chest,
"Hold onnnnn,"
A deep voice says from behind the door, but before i could say anything else the door gets ripped from its hinges and thrown into a pile of rumble in the middle of the restaurant.
Red eyes stare back at me as my hair gets pulled and my entire body gets held in mid air. My eyes wide and body unmoving as I stare down at a creature whom was only meant to belong in book tales.
A werewolve,
It's snout long aswell as it's body, covered in thick grey fur. It's claw sharpe as it digs them into my flesh as its grip tightens around me.
"I could smell you miles away. What a little girl you are, her majesty will be pleased."
It laughs darkly, red liquid dripping out the corner of its mouth as its body turns.
"Get off her!"
A growl says from behind us, air being knocked from me as the werewolves claws suddenly let me go as it's body gets flung forward with me with it. Growls, and squeals ring my eardrums as I drop to the floor, dust and concrete materials hitting my body. As something sharpe pierces through my shirt and into my side,
"I will rip you to shreds shapeshifter."
The werewolf shouts, trying to scramble myself up on to my feet the air cold, frost coating the tables as bodies lay all over the place. Blood coating their clothes, their eye sockets bulging as if they'd been suffocated. Tony? Where was he?
"Kaida!"
Hearing another voice, one sounding almost familiar as I go flying through the air. Hitting a wall, my breathes getting heavier as pain rattles across my bones.
"Leave her alone!"
The sound of jaws snapping and low growls, a loud howl screeches out as the growls get louder. My eyesight blurry as I try to readjust myself, laying across the ruins of the restaurants, broken bricks everywhere as I stare into the direction of where the noise was coming from. Gasping as I watch a smaller wolf take on the werewolf, it's jaws locked around the werewolf's right leg. Blood trickling down from the wolfs mouth as it bites harder causing another loud roar from the werewolf,
"You will not take her from me. You runt,"
The werewolf's left arm swinging backwards as it lets out a powerful punch on the wolfs jaw causing it to let go and fall to the floor.
"Kaida run!"
The wolves eyes focusing on me as it raises back on to its paws. The wolf smaller than the werewolf but a lot bigger than a normal one you would see in a zoo. It's dark brown fur thick but silky as leaps up on to the back of the werewolf, sinking it's claws into its flesh. Was I dreaming? Werewolves didn't exist...
"The witch is mine. And soon the world will be put into its normal state."
The werewolf growls pulling the wolf off it's back and throwing it not far from me, it's body shaking the ground as hits it.
"You are the key. The key to our salvation,"
The werewolf says, it's breathe heavy as it walks towards me. Blood dripping down its torso as I struggle to move, my whole body frozen."Ala-tor-tam-maiam!"
Hands wrap around my body as the werewolf's eyes bulge, it's body suddenly leaping towards me. A bright light bursts out, blinding me.
My body tingling as I land on something hard but soft, not being able to stop the force as I roll down a hill. The bright light having disappeared as I scream when my body travels faster but then stops as I land on a flat surface of ... sand? Sand, coughing my lungs out as i heave forward feeling my stomach battling itself,
"Kaida!,"
A voice shouts as a body rushes towards me, their hand resting on my back as I open my eyes, my vision blurry for a few seconds before I can readjust to my surroundings.
"Tyler?"
His body arched over me, his eyes looking me over before letting out a deep breathe.
"That was a close one huh, nasty things werewolves. He picked his day well bloody full moon power bullshit,"
His hand moving across my back in circles, the air around us dry.
"I'm dreaming. This is all just one weird dream,"
I say hoping I'd wake up any second.
"Kaida."
His voice softening, my fingers threading through sand as I take in our surroundings. What in the fuck. Only being able to see sand around us and some dead weeds. Now being able see Tyler whom was only wearing some loose black shorts, red blood coating his shoulder and smeared across his skin. His hair damp,
" what just happened?"
My head beginning to hurt as I fall down on to my side, the sand hot underneath me.
"You were tracked. No wonder why since your magical aura is so bright,"
His body moving closer to mine as he looks out into the distance,
"My magical what now?"
Confused completely with what was going on and where we were.
"Yeah. Your glowing so brightly it's actually pretty crazy but since it's your birthday an all no surprise since your protection shield would of disappeared making you vulnerable."
Protection shield?? Wait? What?
"How did you know it was my birthday?"
Only my foster parents and Tony knowing it was today, oh no Tony. Nearly forgetting what had happened, my body still in shock as I struggle to move.
"Well the aura was the most noticeable thing to of disappeared. But I've been watching you... wait! No, not like that." His movements quick as I go to push him away.
"You pervert!"
Screaming as I try to push myself up but failing as my body seems to weigh heavier and my muscles burning.
"I didn't mean it like that Kaida. Honestly. I just meant that I've been looking out for you as I've been tracking you for nearly over a hundred years."
A hundred years. Stopping completely as I look back at him, his soft brown eyes staring at me.
"What are you talking about?"
His arms going quickly around me as he lifts me up completely,
"As much as I'd like to explain everything right now. I really think we should move, I think something is watching us."
He says lowly into my ear as he presses me close to his chest, his steps inhumanly quick as he carries me through the dessert. The air rustling as a light wind blows against us, I couldn't see anything or anyone. Just the baking of dry hot sand in the far distance, whatever was watching us it must of been well hidden and not wanting us to see them. I didn't know why I trusted Tyler and what he had said but part of me could feel the truth in his words. We weren't alone. Something was out here with us.
