Kaida's POV

"So werewolves, vampires, griffins, ogres, unicorns, dragons, fairies ..... I can't remember the rest of the creatures you named but they really do exist?"
Picturing the werewolf that had had it's claws wrapped around me not that long ago. Swallowing hard as I remember the thick smell of blood.
"Yes. And more, but the most important thing is your safe and I managed to find you."
His voice becoming more hearse as he walks up another tall sand hill with me in his arms, his body warm and beginning to sweat along with mine.
"And this place is Asgarma, the lost lands."
Beginning to understand why it was called the lost lands since everywhere looked the same,
"Yes,"
He huffs whilst stopping as he takes in a deep breath.
"You okay?"
His skin slightly paler than before. Trying to scramble out of his arm but failing as he tightens his grip on me,
"Please. You won't be able to walk on these lands yet, your body is still adjusting to the change."
I hated feeling helpless, my muscles aching.
"When your protection shield wore off so did everything else, your powers will be harder to control now. Everything will hurt more and everything magic will be channeling it's way through you right now. But I do have a suggestion that might make this exciting journey go faster,"
His body tensing as his stumbles slightly,
"Wait hold on."
His body stilling as we come to a stop.
"My powers? I think you must be mistaken."
I didn't have any powers. I was just-weird, I wasn't from his world. I was human, born in London.
"Kaida.... There's so much you don't know."
Both of us stare at one another, neither of us budging until he turns his head suddenly.
"There's a reason why I was asked to find you and protect you."
He was asked to protect me? Why?
"Kaida. Your blood carries the key,"
Again with a key. A key to what? None of this making sense.
"Your bloodline is the origins of the original light witches. Your a witch Kaida,"
A witch....

My thoughts going blank as I hear my own heart beating fasten in my chest, the air around me becoming harder to breath in as Tyler's voice becomes muffled along with high pitch scream.
Tyler's whole body tenses up as he turns us around, a sand storm blowing harshly in the distance as dark grey clouds fill the once warm bright sky. The ground underneath us shakes as Tyler wobbles with me in his arms, before I can even ask him what was going on both of our bodies get thrown backwards. Rolling down the sandy hills, sand scraping across my skin as I pick up speed but stop suddenly when I land on something hard.
"Kaida are you okay?"
Tyler says behind me, having landed pretty much on top of him. His fingers brushing back the strands of loose hair on my forehead that partly block my vision. Nodding my head back and forth, my throat incredibly dry from not having drunk anything for hours and from the sandy air that surrounds us.
"Who dares travel across my lands!"
A voice roars across from us, the ground lifting up and crackling as a something surfaces from underneath the sand. It's paws huge along with its head and body. Not believing what I was watching as a Sphinx stares down at us being way over 100 metres tall. The creature body completely made of stone, it's lion claws extracted out as it steps closer towards us.
"Shit."
Tyler's mutters under his breathe. Shit!
"That's all you can say shit?! What does that mean?? Is it a good shit atleast?"
Now noticing the sand underneath us splitting as we slowly begin to sink downwards.
"A shapeshifter and a witch. But not any normal witch, one whom carries the blood of the descendants of the originals. Known to of all been slaughtered in the war long ago,"
The sphinx voice echoes as it's front left paw swipes forward, trying to grab us.
"You must die. One whoms blood holds the key to evil that will destroy all worlds."
Tyler tugs me side to side as the sphinx claws swipe at us again, it's movements becoming quicker. The sand beneath us sinking as my left foot gets caught,
"Tyler!"
I scream as the sphinx paw comes to strike both of us as Tyler tries to pull my leg free.
Sweat dripping down both of us, Tyler let's go of my leg his posture changing as his body begins to glow dimly his whole body changing before my eyes as a gigantic rhino looking creature stands to the side of me as the sphinx's paw crashes against it.
The creatures horn sharpe as it cracks part of the sphinx. The rhino looking creatures body shifting again into what looked like a sabertooth tiger but with two horns black curved horns on top of its head. It's body massive but no where near to the size of what the sphinx was.
The creature letting out a roar as it leaps forward into the air and landing on the sphinxs head. It's claws scratching at the rock but only to be thrown seconds later a couple of feet infront of me.
"Kaida run!"
The creature tries to shout but grunts when the sphinx paw lands on top of it weighing it down in the sand. It's brown eyes familiar as it looks at me as it struggles against the sphinx, its body being crushed. Tyler, he was a shapeshifter. It was real. Blood coughing out his mouth as he groans the pressure of the weight of the sphinx getting heavier,
"You will die, along with her."
Tyler's eyes pleading for me to go as he gasps for air, the sky above us crackling as a sound of thunder booms. The sun disappearing as dark grey clouds circle around us, a bright light sparking from in the far distance as the ground shakes and a loud bang bursts my ear drums. A wave of strong wind hits me in the face as my body flings back on to the ground.
Opening my eyes but wishing I hadn't as I look up at the gigantic shadow that looms above me, it's body huge and wings expanded outwards as it's big sharpe teeth growl lowly as it's head lowers down but passes over me. My blood going still as a dragons body steps over me, it's body blue on top with a cream light colour underneath, it's long thick horns on top of its head black. Having watched parts of game of thrones and having imagined once to see one in the flesh. But now, it was frightening. It's feet easily could crush me to death as it moves closer to the sphinx who all but stares at the dragon. It's lips slightly parted,
"No... it can't be. I thought you were dead,"
The sphinx voice lower than what it had been only a few moments ago but things happen so fast as the dragon growls a white ray of light flashing and explodes around us.
