Nerdy: Hello!
Ready for the interview?
Ruhika: Yes, I'm ready.
Nerdy: So Ruhika nice to meet you and congratulations on winning Morpankh Awards 2.0!
Ruhika: Thank you so much ❤️
It was totally unexpected.
Nerdy: Oh no I checked out your book and it was nice. A set of poems for the lost deities! So for my first question, more like a request. Could you please tell the readers regarding yourself.
Ruhika: Well, I'm an average Indian girl with a deep passion for all things creative. I love writing, singing and reading plus traveling is my love. Currently I'm in high school and looking forward to pursue a degree in Egyptology in future, owing to my childhood love for mythology and history.
Nerdy: Egyptology.. Please tell our viewers regarding this subject as it sounds intriguing.
Ruhika: Egyptology is basically the study of ancient Egyptian history and mythology. It's an immensely interesting subject with broad scopes and numerous opportunities.
Nerdy: Coming back to your book, it is a collection of poems honoring ancient gods of Egypt, how did this idea strike you to write something as such?
Ruhika: This collection of poems based upon gods of Egypt, India and Greece came to me one October day. All my life I have seen this throughout the social media where people, without any knowledge about the deities, make inappropriate comments about them. It's very disheartening and made me want to do something about it. The collection can be considered as a protest against it.
Nerdy: A creative way to present your dissatisfaction, I see. I saw your profile and noticed that you are an astrology enthusiast. Till what level do you think they are accurate and are they serving anything in our life?
Ruhika: I think they are pretty accurate about pretty much everything. I think they serve quite a lot of purpose in our life, including how our day shall proceed, whom we meet, events that shall happen, etc.
Nerdy: So does this mean you agree with destiny?
Ruhika: Absolutely. 100%
Nerdy: Oh, people at times tend to be close minded, have you ever faced mockery due to your beliefs?
Ruhika: Yes, many times. Infact my own family has did this a number of times.
Nerdy: Could you share your experience?
Ruhika: I believe that the world can't be limited by any set of rules. And we can't know everything about it. Some say that I'm backdated, for believing in unscientific stuff in the 21st century. I have faced taunts and teasing in school as well. Although initially I felt terrible about it, I think those experiences have strengthened my beliefs.
Nerdy: An appreciative stance, having faith in your belief. Your book is also a Wattpad India award winner, do you ever aim to publish it in physical form?
