The small amount of light that came through the window curtain in my room, was enough to annoy me and make me realize it was already morning. With some discomfort I rubbed my eyes and settled in, sitting with my back on the headboard. I had a sleepless night, a very long one to my misfortune, the things running through my mind didn't let me get even a minute of sleep. I looked at my clock and saw that it was 8:00 in the morning.
Ughhhh ... I didn't want to get up so early on a Friday morning, but I remembered that I had guests at my house, and I knew I had yet to give them an answer. At that moment I smelled it, something strange, something that I hadn't smelled for a long time, but where did it come from? Mmm, the smell was delicious and filled my nose with a pleasure that I didn't imagine I would feel again. But at the same time I also thought about what caused it, so I quickly got out of bed, grabbed my nightgown from my closet, and rushed out of my room in search of the smell.
My search was cut short when I saw what was happening in my kitchen. That blonde girl ... Ava and her friend Lillian were standing in my kitchen, preparing what seemed to me to be breakfast.
"Oohh ... Good morning Megan, I see that you already woke up, I hope you don't mind that we use your kitchen, we wanted to prepare something delicious for you, as a thank you for letting us stay here, we also wanted to prepare something before the boys wake up." Ava told me with a smile, after she turned around and saw me standing next to the kitchen island.
"Yeah, you should see how annoying they get when they wake up hungry, I swear that the only thing those guys know how to do well is eat." Lillian said with a giggle, to which Ava backed up with a small nod and a laugh from herself.
"Umm .. what are you preparing?" I asked, impatient to know what it was that smelled so good, and that reminded me of one of those little moments when I remember feeling truly happy.
"It's french toast, I hope you like it, it's one of my specials." Ava said with a big smile, and I couldn't help the small smile that invaded my face, I could only nod my head several times in response to what she said.
"Mmm, is that Ava's famous french toast I smell?" Derek said, who was now leaving the room where he slept during the night and heading towards the kitchen. "Good morning girls" He said once he reached his destination.
"Good morning Derek, and yes I'm making breakfast with Lillian's help, could you wake up the other boys?, breakfast is ready." Ava answered, turning to see Derek.
"Sure thing Blondie" After that Derek headed to the room where the other two boys were sleeping.
"Here's your plate Megan, I hope you enjoy it, otherwise Ava will be disappointed with her performance in the kitchen." Lillian told me with a big smile, handing me the plate with the food that filled my nose with a delightful smell.
"Thank you, I'm sure it tastes good." I answered, and with that I gave the toast a taste. I swear it tasted even better than it smelled, and I really didn't know how that was possible. When I swallowed I couldn't help moaning with the pleasant taste that invaded my palate. The girls turned to me to, with a little giggle, happy that I had liked the breakfast.
That was probably the moment I fell in love with those 2 girls, and it only took them a delicious french toast.
Who would've think it?.......

After breakfast, I helped Lillian and Ava clean the kitchen. We talked and I gave myself the opportunity to get to know them a little more, I told them some things about myself, obviously not much, just what was necessary to be polite. We finished and then we went to the living room where the boys were talking about their things.
