TW: mentions of depression, depressed thoughts

Note: hi!! Thank you for enjoying the story so far. This chapter gets very deep and I'm sorry about that!! Let me know in the comments what you think<3

************
I had exactly seven hours before four rockstars would be in my apartment. I had two hours before my new couch arrived. To say I was freaking out would be an understatement.

Yesterday I did all of my grocery shopping for tonight. I'm going to make roasted chicken, potatoes and a side of salad. Simple, delicious and goes with the wine I bought.

I texted Victoria to let her know they can come over at seven tonight. She texted back how they were all excited to eat something that wasn't slightly burnt by any of them.

I arranged my living room at least 100 times before I was satisfied with the layout, leaving space for the couch of course. I picked up a candle yesterday when I was out too, just something to help my place feel like a home.

I had my outfit laid out on my bed for after my shower. A black silk midi skirt and a white cropped tee. I didn't want to look too over dressed and excited for a simple dinner with friends. Who happened to be famous. I'd pick my jewelry before everyone got here, after I was done cooking.

Since I had time to soared before the movers arrived, I decided to open my window and do a few sketches. I've had my eye on the lemon tree in the courtyard.

I put my music on shuffle and settled on my half balcony. I call it half because it's more of a giant ledge with a railing with enough room for one person.

As I find my spot, my mine starts to wonder and I completely zone out to my surroundings.
_______
*Damiano's POV*

I was put in charge of getting flowers for a girl I had never even met. Who ever this "Becca" was had all of my band mates wrapped around her finger.

"Dami, you will love her!" Vic kept telling me after they met last week.

"She's all alone on this side of the world and instead of being scared and cautious she's embracing the strange and unfamiliar." Thomas had commented.

What really peaked my curiosity was how even Ethan seemed to like her. He wasn't antisocial by any means but he was shy, especially if he had to speak English. He told me that since she was still learning Italian she knew how hard it was to learn a new language and let him take his time when speaking.

Ever since they met her they haven't shut up about her.

"Damiano she sees us as normal people. It's...relaxing to be around her. We're not just eye candy musicians, it's grounding." Vic had mentioned as the others nodded.

Of course I'm open to meeting people here and there, but the last few months I have limited who I let inside our circle. I've become a bit harsher, moodier. That's what getting cheating on does to you though. I know my band mates see it, they've been letting me find my feelings on my own, but reminding me that they're there to help.

So was I curious about her? Yeah, with the way they spoke about her who wouldn't be. Am I open? Not so much.

I sighed and looked up as I walked down the street, I passed a yard that looked like a hidden forest confined by 4 walls. I looked around the yard, noticing little statues and lights placed about. My gaze led me up to the building. Vines along its walls, and they all pointed to this window.

That's when I saw her. A girl sitting in her window, palm in her hand with her face towards the afternoon sun. Her eyes were closed, reminding me of a lazy cat in these hot summer days. I had to check that I was still breathing. Her hair fell around her shoulders, it was dark and long. Might be even longer than Ethan's.
