Chapter 2: Because of Me?

Before Story Notes:
Gotta bare with me. I'm going to try my best and learn football positions BUT there's legitimately only 6 players on each team. It may change but i'll lyk. So we're gonna live and work around it. Got it? Cool cool.

George's POV
All eyes were on George.

Just some random kid who never got along with the term popular but wasn't exactly that invisible loner either.

He was just there. With his small group of friends and classmates. Medium class I should say, so the sudden jaw dropping gazes on him weren't an all too familiar style.

George had to turn around once or twice to double check and make sure no one was behind him, the burning stares still being a little awkward and somewhat new to him..

..since they were stares of being impressed rather than being disgusted or just pure hatred.

God how they hated George was better then them in some of the most easiest stuff, so resorting to small amounts of nick-picking became a usual thing.

Not necessarily bullying because they never punched or touched him, just more verbal comments but it stopped somewhat last year.

Sapnap seemed to be chuckling while also elbowing Dream, who in all honesty didn't seem too happy but George chose to ignore it.

He's probably just having an off day, he seemed fine early. George shrugged it off while mentally rolling his eyes in the process of picking up the items he so quickly dropped.

I just know the dirt on the back of this book bag is going to stain my hoodie, that thought quickly went away since there wasn't exactly anything he could do about.

Why wear a white hoodie to football tryouts anyways?

"AY, LETS GO GOGY!" The blond child had screamed across the field, giving George a small smile to start his new chapter in high school.

He was going to be apart of the football team his junior year.

Maybe the remaining two years weren't going to be as bad as I thought, he thought to himself as he tried to get rid of the smile on his face. He wasn't invited to the team just yet so he didn't want to turn out to be too cocky.

Puffy and Niki were over by the bleachers since they were also holding try outs for girls who wanted to do cheer, and there were a lot, a lot more volunteers than the footballs.

All of the girls and cheerleaders seemed to be impressed as well, their gazes also sitting upon George standing in a simple white hoodie and a black book bag on his shoulder, alone.

He will say, getting the attention wasn't really his thing or his style.

"GEORGE! C'mere really quick." A brunet boy who was slightly taller than Sapnap, cuffed his hands around his mouth while yelling at George.

So he made his way over towards the five other guys wearing their football uniforms.

Tommy with the number 17.
And his reasoning for that, was because he swore on his life he could get that many girls their first year here.

He was wrong but it was funny when he tried.

Sapnap had the number 3.
Tommy said it was because it was his friend's favorite number and he never bothered to change it.

Dream had the number 5.

And the brunet with the number 8.

"Don't you agree he'll be good for the- George, um. You're trying out right?" He cut himself short when George came quicker than he had anticipated.
