Chapter 9: "How do I tell Him."

George's POV
What if I just left the team? What would exactly happen?

They would just proceed life as they have been for the last two years, just forget about me making it and even debating it.

I mean, I wouldn't leave them but just the team.

Just the team.

They don't need me.

They can do fine without me.

I've given my input, I've given them my help.

How the fuck am I even going to manage the team more less play alongside them when there's drama left and right...

All because I joined the goddamn team.

"George, are you good?"

Tommy nudged his elbow and brought George out of his thoughts, a seemingly endless trance that'll continue to come back.

Why? Why get stuck in your own head, from scenarios that'll most likely never happen?

Well that's because they always seem to do so despite people telling us different.

'You're overthinking,' 'stop stressing,' 'that'll most likely never happen.'

That's what George's family always told him, taught him.

God, why stress over such a little image. I'm going to be captain this Friday despite my own request because that's what everyone wants, or at least wanted.

Sapnap hasn't said a word to anyone besides his own boyfriend and Karl.

Dream, no one really knows to be honest.
They'd be lucky if he even showed up for practice after missing his first three classes.

The two of them didn't even make an appearance in the lunchroom like they normally did, it was only Tommy, George, Quackity, and Wilbur.

"Yeah, I'm fine." George gave a smile, not really caring if it seemed fake or real. "Just thinking is all."

"Want to talk about it?"

"Not really, maybe later." The blond child shook his head in agreement, not wanting to push it.

George just wished that lunch could be over with but at the same time he hoped it never ended.

Torn between sitting in silence at the lunch table for the rest of his life and going to practice the second school ended.

Monday, in fact, was hell.

Sapnap's POV
"You can't be mad at him forever Sap."

The two of them were sitting on a bench outside, the wind flowing around them and their hair blowing in all different directions.

It took everything for Sapnap not to smile at his presence, how the brunet was always there for him no matter the situation.

That situation might've happened occasionally, and it might've always dealt with Dream.

"Karl, I'm not mad or upset." He didn't bother looking up from the cemented pathway.
