Grayson
I was doing homework in my room when Brooklyn came in and climbed onto my lap while I was sitting in my desk chair.
She wrapped her arms around my neck and rested her head on my shoulder.
My hands wrapped around her waist as we sat there.
"Doing okay?" I asked her.
"Mmhmm. Just need some you."
I kissed her forehead. "I love you."
"I love you too, Gray."
"Do you wanna stay in this weekend, or go out?"
"We can go out if you want."
"Or we could stay in and watch Christmas movies while eating popcorn and drinking hot chocolate."
"I like the sound of that," Brooklyn said. "I like cuddling and watching movies with you."
Pressing my lips to hers, I smiled into the kiss. "I love seeing you happier."
"All because of you," she said, kissing me back. "You've been my rock, Gray."
I started playfully attacking her neck with kisses as she giggled at me. There was a knock at my bedroom door, and I pulled my lips away from Brooklyn.
"Come in, E," I said.
"How'd you know it was Ethan?" Brooklyn whispered as Ethan walked in.
I shrugged. "It's a twin thing."
"Kylie and I are going to a party later, you guys wanna come with?" Ethan asked as he sat on my bed.
"I'm down if you're down, Brooklyn," I said.
She nodded. "Sure. Let's have fun tonight."
"Great," Ethan said, hopping back up from my bed and walking towards the door. "I'll go call Kylie to see what time she'll be here."
Once he left the room, Brooklyn smiled at me as she rested her hand on my cheek. "I feel really lucky to have you guys around Christmas time this year. I've never felt like I had anyone to truly celebrate the holidays with, and it feels extra special to me this year."
"We're gonna make it the best Christmas ever. Just for you."
"When I was younger, I used to walk downtown to see the Christmas lights every year. I was always by myself, but seeing all of the people gather round to see the tree lighting always made me feel like I was part of something bigger than my own life."
"We can go together this year," I said. "I can't believe Christmas is two weeks away."
"Me neither. It seems like yesterday was September, and that's when you first brought me home."
"I'm so glad I did."
"Me too," Brooklyn said, pressing her forehead against mine.
"We're leaving at eight," Ethan called from the hallway.
"I better get ready," Brooklyn said, climbing off of me and standing up. "What do you think I should wear?"
"Those cute jeans you always wear, and that black long sleeved blouse. It looks amazing on you."
Brooklyn smiled as she headed towards the door. "You're so sweet."
I got up to get ready, throwing on a new pair of jeans and a black t-shirt. I sprayed on some of my cologne that happened to be Brooklyn's favorite, and I was done getting ready by the time Kylie showed up.
Brooklyn followed me downstairs while Ethan was greeting Kylie at the door. We were all ready to go, so we headed out to Ethan's jeep and climbed inside.
Brooklyn and I were in the backseat, so once we got our seatbelts on, I put my arm around her. "You look so hot right now," I whispered to her.
She smiled. "You're wearing my favorite cologne."
"Just for you, baby," I said, kissing her forehead.
Brooklyn smiled as she pressed her lips against mine, letting my tongue collide with hers as the kiss continued.
Brooklyn's hand ran down the front of my shirt until her hand reached the tip of my jeans, then she teasingly trailed her hand back up and around to the back of my hair.
"Do you guys ever stop making out?" Ethan asked as he parked the car.
I chuckled as I pulled my lips away from Brooklyn. "Not my fault I have a hot girlfriend," I said, winking at my girl.
"They're worse than us," Ethan muttered to Kylie, who giggled.
"Says the guy to takes his girlfriend straight upstairs at every party."
"At least I don't do it in the middle of the night when other people are trying to sleep in the next room," Ethan said.
"You're just jealous that I can get some in the middle of the night without leaving the house."
"Let's go in. It's party time," Kylie said, interrupting mine and Ethan's squabble.
Ethan and Kylie got out of the car as I stepped out and helped Brooklyn down from the tall vehicle.
Brooklyn held my hand as the four of us made our way to the party, Kylie instantly squealing over the fact that there were Jell-O shots.
The girls both tried some, and Brooklyn also wanted me to try one with her.
The strawberry flavor was sweet as I swallowed the jello, and then Brooklyn pulled me to the dance floor.
Sure enough, Kylie was dragging Ethan upstairs, and Brooklyn and I chuckled about it.
"Have they always been like that?" she asked.
"Like what?"
"Instantly in the mood at parties?"
I laughed. "Well, Kylie's parents are kind of strict, so they don't get to spend the night together ever. Besides after school, their best bet for alone time is usually at parties."
"Poor, unfortunate souls," Brooklyn said.
I chuckled as I pulled her body closer to mine. "I got pretty lucky, you know. Having a girlfriend who lives in my house."
Brooklyn smiled up at me, and I kissed her forehead.
We were having a good time dancing together, and simply enjoying the music that was playing. Ethan and Kylie came back and joined us on the dance floor, and everything seemed to be fine until a guy who looked to be college age walked through the front door.
Brooklyn's eyes widened as soon as she saw him, and I knew something was wrong. "Gray, we gotta get out of here. Now."
