Prologue
In a cold dark faraway place, a small being was fondly watching our planet.
"Isn't it a lovely sight, Iris? It seems so...so...peaceful," the being said with a sigh.
The creature named Iris eyed her warily. "Are you sure about this, Kira?"
"Father and Mother would be so proud," Kira said knowingly to herself.
"Kira, that place is an enigma. You could get ki-" Iris tried to reason out with her but to no use.
Kira stood up and looked at in an unreadable face. "I won't."
"How sure are you? Even your parents didn't know anything about that place's hostility."
"You need not to worry about me so much, Iris."
"But I should, I am one of the last." After Iris uttered the last word, she felt great sadness.
Kira took one more look at earth then turned to her stubborn friend. "Goodbye, Iris. I will miss you."
Iris wasn't the kind of creature who'd lose her stand easily. She glared at Kira then said, "You will not stand a chance in there."
"Do not worry, I'm strong."
"Oh, really?" Iris challenged menacingly, "what do you have against those morbid animals?"
Kira's gray eyes were filled with determination. "I have nothing but my name." And with this, Kira turned and made her way to our planet.
Once sensing Kira was out of earshot, Iris looked back at earth then whispered to herself, "She will not succeed, she will end up like her parents....and like everyone else."
