Chapter 3 : Gregg Harrison
"This place keeps on getting stranger," Kira said amusingly to herself.
She looked curiously at the thing being pointed at her and Leone. It has a long steel body with a few rusts on the side. The man holding it was a bit rusty looking too. He had thinning blondish gray hair and a very thick mustache.
She glanced at Leone's contorted face. Something about his expression bothered her a bit.

Gregg Harrison held his gun steadily on his broad shoulders. He was already in his twilight years yet he never lost his mastery over weaponry.
Gregg was just on his way to his house until he found two youngsters wandering about in the town's property. Though to some, this wouldn't be thought of a nuisance but for Chief Officer Gregg, this was worth killing for.
He stared at the two kids closely. One was holding the other one dearly as if expecting to get shot already. Chief Gregg mustered all of his previous training regarding judging a person's quality through mere eye contact only.
Guess Gregg's old trainings didn't work for him now. He couldn't interpret nor read any of the children.
He doubted himself for a second then smiled.
"What am I doing? Am I going to shoot some youngsters now, too?" Gregg thought out loud with one hand rubbing his chin. "I shan't do such thing! Children are worth more than killing."
Gregg lowered his gun. He made his way near the two kids with a loop sided smile on his face.

Leone thought frantically. He cannot let his new-found friend be killed immediately after her arrival. Her life mustn't be taken until her mission is done.
Once Leone saw that the old man was going near them, he let go of Kira and stood defensively in front of her. He secretly clutched his special weapon on his side for defense.
The old man was now about four feet away from them.
"What do you want?" Leone shouted over to him though there was an edge in his voice, there was a hint of politeness in it.
The man laughed heartily and wiped a fake tear on his face. "My, my, boys nowadays are getting fiercer than men like me."
"I said, what do you want, old man?" Leone said a little angrier.
"What could I possibly want from a child like you? I am merely expressing my salutations to you both." The man waved his hands in a friendly gesture.
"You pointed a gun at us. That would mean something."
"Forgive me, dear boy, for my eyesight hasn't improved over the years."
"Stop it with your nonsense. You are no ordinary person."
"How could you say so?"
"I could sense it."
"Leone..." Kira suddenly tugged gently at Leone's side and stood up in front of him.
Leone, shocked to see her do such a bold thing, tried to react but stopped as soon as he saw her disapproving face.
"What do we have here? A little missy came up to play."
