A WEEK AWAY

* ALEXA VALESKA ABOVE *

As the sun once again makes an appearance, easing into the velvety dark sky, the campsite is illuminated from its warm glow. Everybody rises early as was decided, and start up on the trek around the area. Despite everyone being wide awake at present, no-one utters a word, as the group travels in uncomfortable silence.

Halfway through the trek, Evan suddenly exclaims, ''Has anyone seen Oscar?''. He frowns as everyone negates to have done so. ''Thats weird! He rarely leaves my side.''

Alexa who was uncommonly chipper in the morning, speaks up ''Took you long enough to notice his absence, some owner you are'' she scoffs.

''Seems like you noticed, any idea where he might be?'' Evan accusingly starts.

''Come on now guys...'' Jack tries to mediate.

''Well, it would be hard not to, since the rabid beast wasn't growling at me every waking moment!'' Alexa comments.

''Seems like motive to me!'' Marcus mutters.

Alexa stares at him disbelievingly, ''You know what else seems like motive, Evan sleeping with your sister!''

Marcus and Stephanie look at Alexa in shock.

She answers their undirectly asked question, ''You arent as quiet while talking as you think you know.'', taunting at the conversation from the car a few days ago.

''Well stop trying to turn us against each other, it wont work. I trust them both. They would have told me. Right, Steph?'' Marcus goes.

''Y-yes! Of course'', Stephanie says wide-eyed.

While Marcus seems to believe his sister, Alexa still walks away smugly.

They come back from the trek mid-afternoon, all tired and sweaty. Evan was starting to get worried as he still hadnt heard Oscar. It was decided that everyone take a nap so that they could enjoy the night as intended.

Soon all but one was in deep sleep. It was all going according to plan, but for who?
