a strange brightness i have seen each day, suddenly brought jolting sparks in this war. without even a word, you could take me away, but then, are you an apple or a star.
apple candy, apple pie, apple in my stupid eye, shining, shimmering through my sky in a hustle. unknown yet you feel familiar with no reason why, maybe you're a star, maybe you're an apple.
with all the enchanting mystery you posses to tame, i knew your kinds too much to stutter. long nor short time friend, you won't see me the same, either you're an apple or a star, it doesn't matter.
for what i'm building is a ship that won't sail, a fruitless tree in a desert that will see no hale.

a "star apple" is fruit-bearing tree. its fruit is the size and shape of an apple and has a star-shaped core. the flowers are also stars in shape.
