Chapter 35

Walking into Saint Thomas Hospital Emma was not feeling confident in herself at all. Her mind kept racing back to the assault and if she wanted to tell this therapist about it or not. So, she had finally broken down and called in an appointment with Dr. Green. Today she had decided to wear a matching set of grey sweat pants and a hoodie. On top of her unwashed hair was a red beanie to cover her dingy looking hair. 

As she entered the waiting room she looked around and noticed that it was very bland. Finding the receptionist she walked up to the front desk and cleared her throat. 

The woman sitting behind the desk looked up and asked, "Yes, how can I help you?"

Shoving her hands into her grey hoodie Emma said, "I'm here to see Dr. Green, my name is Emma Sutherland."

Nodding her head the woman handed her a clipboard with papers and a pen, "Yes Dr. Green will see you momentarily. If you could please fill out these papers until you've been called in for your visit."

Taking the papers Emma thanked the woman before going to sit down and fill out the usual papers one would have in a doctor's office. She sat down closest to the door slowly writing in each box and answering any questions that needed to be answered. 

After a few minutes she heard her name being called and she followed a woman to an office with the name "Dr. Laruen C. Green" written on the door. 

Hesitantly Emma knocked on the door until she heard a small voice on the other side say, "Come in."

Entering the room she saw a pretty brunette woman sitting in a chair smiling lightly up at her. She noticed that the woman had glasses on her face and a yellow legal pad on her lap that was blank. Swiftly Emma shut the door and stood next to the couch close to Dr. Green.

Breaking the awkward silence between them Lauren spoke as she adjusted her glasses, "I'm Dr. Lauren Green. You must be Emma. Please have a seat."

To that Emma nodded her head and said, "Yeah, sure."

Slowly sitting down on the couch Emma wasn't too sure about what to think of this woman in front of her. In her mind she seemed almost too sweet. 

Lauren then asked her, "So, how are you Emma?"

In annoyance she huffed, "Fine."

Nodding her head Lauren smiled and asked another question, "Okay, well what can you tell me about yourself?"

Giving a hard look Emma replied, "Well I'm from Charleston, South Carolina, I'm a Sagittarius, I like long walks on the beach, and like to watch horror movies. What about you doc?"

Raising her eyebrow Lauren smirked, "I like horror movies too. I just recently saw the new trailer for the new SAW movie." 

To that Emma sat up a little straighter, "Yeah, I saw that too. With the glass box trap over that guys head."

Nodding her head Lauren made a small note, "I saw that too. After the last one with the big reveal of Hoffman being with Jigsaw it had me floored."

To that Emma smiled a real smile for the first time in weeks, "I know right? I mean I already thought he was pretty hot, but to know he was working with Jigsaw made him even hotter."

Lauren laughed at this then asked, "What number is this one now?"

Thinking to herself Emma said, "I think it's the fifth one in the franchise."

"I think you're right," Lauren said while moving her glasses up, "So what else can you tell me about yourself?"

Taking in a deep breath Emma replied, "Well I guess I should tell you the reason that I came in today... I was raped."

To that Lauren's eyes softened, "I'm so sorry. Do you want to talk about it?"

Nodding her head the blonde said, "Yes, because if I don't now then I won't ever."

Sighing to herself Emma told her story, "My friend Gemma and I we were leaving a welcome home party for our friend Bobby. We were on our way home when we stopped at a stoplight. All of a sudden this woman starts hitting on the windows screaming that her baby was choking on something. Gemma got out first and I went into the trunk to get the first aid kit. When I turned around she was gone, then I started to look for her and that's when I was knocked out."

Her breathing began to get harder as she continued, "When I woke up we were both hanging by our hands. A group of men started to attack Gemma, as I screamed for them to stop one of the men cam up and hit me. That same man is the one who raped me."

Handing her a tissue Lauren said, "I'm so sorry Emma that's horrible. Has Gemma considered seeking counseling as well."

Wiping her eyes with the tissue Emma replied, "No. She won't see anyone." 

Writing down a quick note Lauren asked, "Do you know who your attacker was?"

To that Emma nodded, "Yes. His name is A.J. Weston and he's apart of this white supremist group... I think he's been stalking me."

To that the doctor raised a brow while looking at her patient, "What do you mean stalking you Emma?"

Sighing slightly Emma replied, "Well I've been receiving strange notes and bouquets of flowers over the last few weeks. I'm pretty sure that someone broke into my house and went through my underwear drawer."

Growing concerned Lauren asked her, "Have you told anyone about this?"

Shaking her head she replied, "No, just Tara and Unser. Gemma just found out and she was super pissed."

"I'm sure she was. Have you done anything to make your house more secure?"

"Yes I have," Emma started, "I just got two gaurd dogs and I got a home security system set up with cameras."

Lauren made a small note and then said, "That's good. Well, look Emma I think you should continue seeing me every two weeks and I'm gonna put you on Lexapro, it's an antidepressant and it should help some."

Emma nodded her head, "Okay, I'll schedule an appointment with your receptionist. Thank you Dr. Green."

"Please call me Lauren," smiled the doctor.

"Alright I will," smiled Emma warmly.

As the young blonde left the young doctor shut the door and smirked. Going into her purse she took out a small notebook, grabbed a blue pen from her cup, and wrote down the names AJ Weston and Emma Sutherland.

Taking off her glasses Lauren said out loud to herself, "Well AJ Weston looks like you're next on my list. I'll be seeing you soon asshole."
