Chapter 27

All of the woman involved with SAMCRO were running around doing different things getting ready for Abel's homecoming. Each and every one of them had specific jobs that they were assigned to do. Even the Crow Eaters were assigned to get different things for the party.

Emma had been working on most of the food for the big event. Gathering her supplies together she looked at her list to make sure she had enough she needed. For this event she was going to make trays of lasagna, loaves of cheesy garlic bread, a large bowl of salad, brownies, and snickerdoodles.

While the pasta boiled and the  meat cooked she began to mix the cheeses together for the lasagna. Before she had even begun the cooking process she turned on her radio. When she was doing her work a song came on that put a smile on her face. Allison Krauss was blasting from the speakers and it made Emma's heart sing.

She began to sway lightly as she cooked. Suddenly, a had grabbed onto her waist making her jerk in surprise. Turning around she saw Tig Trager standing behind her grinning like a fool. She was put at ease when she saw that if was him. As she smiled at him he took her spoon that she'd been using to mix the cheese and set it in the bowl. He then grabbed her hand and began to bring her close to him so that they'd be dancing slowly together.

As they danced on Emma began to softly sing along with the radio, "The smile on your face let's me know that you need me. There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me. The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall. You say it best when you say nothing at all."

Tig said to her, "This is a nice song doll."

Looking deep into his crystal blue alluring eyes she smiled up at him warmly. It was almost like a gravitational pull drawing her closer to him. She knew that she had feelings that were growing for him, it wasn't until this moment that she felt as if he felt the same way. The only problem was that she also had some strong feelings about two of his brothers that she couldn't decide who her heart truly belonged to.

Emma separated herself from him and asked him, "What are you doing here Alex?"

Looking down at her her and said, "I thought I'd swing by here to see if you needed any help."

Shaking her head she got back to work, "No, I'm okay. Tara is coming by to help some and Donna is also coming over with the kids. Ellie and Kenny love to help me make desserts."

Nodding his head he smirked, "Alright doll I'll see you at the kids welcome home party."

As he was about to leave he looked on at her and grabbed her face. He looked deep into her eyes and did something completely unexpected to her. Softly he pressed his lips to hers in a swift motion.

To say that Emma was stunned was an understatement, she was completely shocked by this action. She knew that Tig was very forward, but she wasn't expecting that to happen.

As he moved his lips off of hers he said, "I'll see you later doll face."

Then with a wink he walked out of her home leaving her alone to her cooking. Emma was still in shock that he had actually kissed her. In the last few months of her living in Charming she had gotten closer to Tig, Chibs, and Happy. Each one of them held a special place in her heart, but tonight Tig Trager had gone up a few notches  on the scale.

As she was layering the lasagna in the baking pans both Tara and Donna arrived around the same time. Ellie and Kenny were getting restless, so Emma showed them her collection of Disney movies and let them choose one to watch until it was time to make dessert. Both women got to work helping their friend with the food.

Once they had begun working Emma was almost in a dazed state. Both Donna and Tara looked at one another with knowing looks on their faces.

Finally after a few minutes Donna finally broke, "Alright Emma what the hell is going on?"
