4. My birthday bash.

They are here on my birthday. What could be better. Note the sarcasm.

"Sh*t man! They are here. The surprise is all spoiled. " My ears were sharp enough to hear Jake ' s comment.

Cam signalled him to sshh and greeted my parents with a warm smile.

"Hey Mr. and Mrs. Adam! Pleasure meeting you"

My parents smiled. I could no longer tell the difference between the real and the fake one. It all seemed the same to me.

"Hi mom dad..nice seeing you both."

I tried to hide my disgust at their arrival...I  know they are my parents and I shouldn't be using such words to describe their arrival. But sorry! That's all I have in store for them.

By that time Anna came down. When she looked at the guests at our door, her expressions mirrored mine.  She was the only one who knew the true story behind it.

Meanwhile the guys invited them in which was totally against my wish. I could have just accepted their gifts and wishes from the gate and bid farewell to them.

"So now as your parents are here and they have already spoiled the plan...let's get going with the party." Cam was full of enthusiasm. Only if you knew Cam.

We all nodded in agreement and headed towards the car. Just as we were about to enter the car Mrs. Adams also known as my mom interrupted us.

"You all move ahead with the plans..Actually we have a meeting tonight and dropped by to wish Jess a happy sixteenth birthday..now its time we should leave."

Surprisingly, I was disappointed. On other occasions I would have been happy that they left me alone but right now I wasn't.  I mean it's my sixteenth birthday and you have a frigging meeting to attend.

So it left us with the four of us. I was with Anna in the backseat and she gave me a meaningful look.

Well I would say my mood quickly changed when I saw the preparations done for the party. They really went throught a lot of pain to arrange an awesome bash for me. I wish that the coming few hours would be happy and peaceful.

The place was all decorated in blue and black. My favourite. It gave the party a balanced lightining. And then there was food. All Chinese and Italian. I just love my friends. When I entered the room it was all dark. So they didn't know that their surprise was spoiled..hmm..so let's just not spoil the fun.

The lights opened in an instant and their were all my classmates wishing me a happy birthday. All Screaming and shouting! There were many faces that I didn't recognise but then I was hardly social.  Luckily I didn't have to fake a reaction it came naturally.. I wasn't expecting anything this grand.

In the center of the group shouting on the top of her voice was Maggie.So there was that bitch planning my birthday not hooking up with some guy. I was relieved and pleased with her..I ran over to her and caught her in a hug.

Meanwhile the three of them also arrived at the sight and made it a group hug. I thank God for such friends.

"First we will cut the cake birthday girl." Anna announced breaking the hug.

When the cake arrived. I just looked at it in awe.

It was a three tier chocolate cake! I knew I could eat it all alone..just kidding I will grow too fat (real concern of every girl).

I was having fun so far during the night.

The D.J for the night was rocking and we decided to break the stage. We all danced showing off our best moves and looking our worst. Dance was like a drug and we were so into the mood and then the mood changed. 

The song playing was Only Hope by Mandy Moore.My favourite. I really don't know if it's the movie or the song itself that makes it a favourite.

Everyone started looking for a partner. I didn't know who I would pair up with. Jake already had Anna and Cam would have already had someone. I know something was up with Anna and Jake. But both of them were either blind or dense to notice the sizzling chemistry between them.

Just then a hand grabbed my waist from behind. I was startled by the sudden touch and turned around.

"Does every girl in the party has brains and do not want to dance with you?" I asked teasingly. Although, I was never more pleased to see him. Dancing with Cam was hundred times better than dancing with stranger. Unless and until the strangers was Liam Hemsworth.

As his hands reached my waist, I  wrapped my arms around his neck and we were swaying to the music. It was all very cozy. I was enjoying the slow melody when i felt him pulling me closer. We were close..very close. It was the second time in the day and my memories returned back to the court. How awkward it had become and how his close proximity seemed to affect me.

He slowly brought  his face closer to mine. And in that moment I was determined to destroy his family jewels if he even moves an inch closer. I may be a nerd but I was an extremely violent person.

Good for him he didn't commit the mistake of kissing me.

He brushed his lips over my ears and whispered something. His touch sent shivers through my body. My body wasn't supposed to react like that! But I had never let any boy come this close to me. It was surely this new proximity that made me react in this way.

He was saying something but all I could make out of the things he said was "We need to talk."

And then he released me from his hold.
