Fred's Pov

This was my chance. My only chance. I had to fix everything in this class. I would probably have to fix it day by day. This is going to be worth it. I can almost see the day I finally break down her walls and make her smile and laugh. God I want to see her laugh at my jokes. I sat down next to her. She looked hurt but I don't know if it's something personal and she wouldn't want me to ask about it. I sat quietly for a little while before I spoke, "Hey Sabrina, are you... um... excited for the other schools coming?" Was that really the best I could come up with? She looked up at me, her eyes were still a little red but I tried not to acknowledge it.

"What? Oh yeah I almost forgot about that. I mean I wouldn't say I'm excited but it should be nice to meet new people and have new people around." She said with a smile. Whatever I was doing seemed to be working. For her mind seemed to be wandering around the idea of new people around the castle. "George and I were actually thinking of competing in the torment."

"You guys can't compete."

"Aww afraid we're going to get hurt. I didn't know you cared so much for us Rina."

"Not that idiot. Dumbledore said he was putting an age line at seventeen. You can't compete."

"You do know there is such a thing called magic don't you Rina."

"You two idiots really think you could get past an age line that Dumbledore made himself?"

"Yes actually."

"Sure you can Freddie. Tell me how that goes." She said and went back to write whatever Snape had to say. But I couldn't focus on anything but her last few words. She called me Freddie. She never calls me that. It has always been Weasley, idiot, or some other insult that came to her mind. I think things could get better. Things might actually change between us.

After the endless amount of notes Snape made us write, class was finally over. As Sabrina ran out the door  I followed her. I wanted her to know I was being serious on the train. "Rina, Rina wait up!"

She turned around confused, "What Fred?"

"I just... I just wanted to make sure you knew I was being serious."

"Serious about what exactly?"

"I meant what I said on the train. I want this war to be over."

"Oh right yeah. May I ask why all of a sudden you want this to be over?"

"I just don't want to fight with you anymore."

"Why?"

"I don't want to fight, I would much rather be friends."

"Fred, do you feel alright?" She stood on her toes and put her hand on my forehead. I chuckled and grabbed her hand. "I feel great, Rina."

"Then why are you suddenly so nice to me? Just last year you hated me and you made sure that I knew that everyday."

"Look Sabrina I know I haven't been the nicest to you and I really want to change that. Please believe me." I held onto her hand tighter.

"Freddie, that's really nice of you but I don't know all of this still feels like some elaborate prank for you to trick me." I let go of her hand and brought my own to her cheek. "Hey, this isn't some trick. I'm not trying to fool you."

"But how can I trust you?"

I looked at her. She was so close to me. I could feel her breath on neck. I wanted to kiss her and show how much I care about her. Show her that I meant every word and that she deserved so much more than what I have to offer her. "I can show you?"

"And how exactly would you do that?" I smirked at the plan that I had in my head. I knew exactly how to show her just how sorry I was for the pranks I caused. "I have something in mind but I can't tell you. You just have to trust me."

She nodded her head in agreement. "Okay meet me at the astronomy tower after dinner tonight."

"Okay but I swear to god if this turns into a prank Fred Weasley I will throw you off the astronomy tower."

"I don't doubt that. But I promise this isn't a prank."

"Fine Weasley. I should get to the great hall to meet my friends. I'll see tonight then." She turned around and began to walk away.

"Wait, I'll walk with you."

"You don't have to."

"I know I don't have to but I want to."

She looked at me suspiciously and began to walk to the Great Hall again. "Well, are you coming or not?" She called out. I smirked and ran after her. We walked to the hall and as she began to walk to her friends I leaned down to her ear and whispered, "I'll see you tonight. Don't be late." I walk to George and Lee.

"I'm guessing talking to her worked." George said as I sat down.

"Yes it did." I said with a huge smile on my face.

"So what did you do?" Lee asked

"Well she doesn't entirely trust me yet but I told her I would show her tonight."

"And what exactly does that mean?" George asked.

"I have a plan and we're meeting at the astronomy tower after dinner tonight." I said. My plan was somewhat simple. I was going to decorate the tower and have a little picnic under the stars. And if I'm lucky tonight I can finally kiss her.

"Can we know this plan of yours in case it goes horribly wrong and Lee and I have to save you."

"It's not going to go wrong."

"Whatever you say."
