"I- I like you too Bear..." Declan stuttered. Bear blushed. That was... not what he expected to say the least. It was irrational, impulsive, stupid, daft, blunt and reckless. But it worked. For some sick, twisted reason, it worked.

"Now I really have to go. Goodbye my love." Declan teased.

"Whatever." Bear said with a subtle grin on his face. When Declan closed the door, Bear smiled and collapsed onto his bed. He took a pillow and squeezed it between his arms so hard it seemed as if it could have popped and sent feathers flying. Bear took a picture of his Dad and looked at it. 'I wish you were here Dad. I wish I could talk to you about the way I feel. Just once.' Bear thought to himself.

Bear looked at the night sky. The stars were glittering and the moon shimmering. Maybe his dad was up there. Maybe not. Maybe he still did look down on him. Maybe that was just a stupid idea. Bear hoped though, that his dad was in a better place. He took one more look at the picture before placing it back down on his bedside table.

Declan walked into his dorm to find Kaiden sitting on his bed, with a cheeky smile on his face.

"What." Declan demanded.

"Nothing, nothing. You do what you want, I don't care where you go in your own time... Buttons." Kaiden said and looked away.

"How do you-"

"Let's just say Bear isn't the best at hiding his thoughts..." Kaiden interrupted.

"You. Did. What?" Declan said, infuriated.

"Well I had to see if he was gonna treat my best bro well..... It's ok. He's got my seal of approval." Kaiden said and winked.

"Ugh. Whatever. I'm tired. We will talk about the concept of privacy in the morning. And don't even get me started with that Buttons comment. Just a hint, if you say that again, you will wake up to find your soul staring down on your lifeless body with your head detached, blood staining your sheets crimson." Declan growled and fell onto his bed. The moment his head hit the pillow, he was asleep.

Bear sat awake. He couldn't go to sleep. Every time he tried, he had nightmares of his Dad's death that replayed in his head, over and over. Jordan walked in after being with D.C., so Bear figured this would be a perfect time to get back at Jordan for his jab at him and Declan earlier.

"You have a good snuggle with your princess?" Bear chuckled.

"Don't let her hear you say that. She'd KILL you if she found out you were mocking her royal highness. And yes. Yes I did have a 'good snuggle.' Did you?" Jordan joked as he sat down on his bed.

"Haha. Very funny. I bet you are so tired. You should get some sleep. You need it." Bear started to use his gift against Jordan.

"I know what you are doing but you aren't wrong. I'll let it go this time.." Jordan said with a yawn before dozing off. And so Bear was left awake, the only company he had was his thoughts. Soon, however, he got tired, so he tried one more time to sleep. That was the first night Bear had a good night's sleep. That was the first night Bear dreamt about Declan.
