Eventually after persuasion of fun later, Michael got me a hoodie.

We made our way down the stairs, the smell of burnt toast fills the air.

"Good morning Mrs C," I say, to a smiley Mrs Clifford.

"Hey Lily! How did you sleep?" Mrs Clifford asks me.

"Great thanks," I smile at her while Michael chuckles.

"Morning Mr Clifford!"

"Morning Lil," he says looking up briefly from his newspaper.

Neither of Michael's parents said good morning to him, knowing by now he isn't a morning person, but his parents say he always seems to be in a good mood when I stay over.

"I've a bit of bad news," Mrs Clifford tells us both as we sit down.

"What is it?" Michael asks, sounding bored.

"Well your father and I are going off for the day and-" Mrs Clifford is cut off by Michael before she finishes.

"I don't think that's bad news," a grin appears on Mikey's face.

"We haven't got any food so you need to go grocery shopping."

Just as quickly as his grin came, it left and was replaced by a frown.

"MUM!" he whines. "Are you actually serious?"

"Yes your mother is and you will do what you are told and I don't want to hear any complaints," his father tells him, looking at the clock.

"We should be leaving soon, dear," Mr Clifford tells his wife.

"I'll get my bag and out jackets. Will you start the car?" she asks sweetly.

"Of course," he says, giving her a small peck on the lips before she scurries out of the room to get her things.

"Now," Michael's father says in a serious tone. "No parties and no girls over while we are gone. Oh and no burning the house down either, okay?"

"What about Lily?" Mikey asks, his hair turning slightly pink at the roots.

"What about Lily?" He asks back confused.

"You said no girls? Lily is a girl?"

"She is the only girl you are allowed in the house while we are gone. Do you hear me?"

"Yes Sir!" Michael mock salutes him.

"Bye guys," Mr Clifford says walking over and giving me a hug and messing up Mikey's hair.

"Bye," we both chime as he walks out the the front door.

Just as he had left Mrs Clifford returns with her bag and two jackets.

"I left you a list of what to get on the fridge, alright? Bye loves," she says hugging us both separately.

"Take care of each other," she tells us walking out the door.

"We will!" Mikey shouts, and turns to look at me with a playful glint in his eye.

"Round two?" he smirks at me, his hair beginning to turn both purple and pink.

"Not right now. We have to tidy up this kitchen and then go get the groceries," I explain to him.

"Are you sure that can't wait?" he asks, walking towards me, pining my body against the wall with his.

"Yeah I'm sure," I tell him pushing him away, a smile playing on my lips as he frowns. "Now come on let's go get dressed."

"Can I help you?"
